Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis. It's a historical/fantasy retelling of the Eros and Psyche myth and one of my favorite books :)

They are old but they are EXCELLENT. Check out Mary Renault's books. The King Must Die and The Bull from the Sea are about Theseus.

Also, Jo Walton's three "Thessaly" books, starting with The Just City.

Keeper of the lost cities
its not quite myth-based but there is definitely links to myths
(elves building the pyramids and living in Atlantis) but either way still a good series

For greek mythology, i recommend The Penelopiad and Lavinia, Medea and Cassandra. Also there are Gods Behaving Badly, Bull, The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony, Ithaca Forever: Penelope Speaks, L'Esprit de L'Escalier
