We Just Wanna Have Fun! March Mini Challenge

This is an optional mini challenge for our UNO players. Get your fancy, garish disco gear and dancing shoes on and sing along to some of the 80s greatest hits with us while you are reading!
                        

The tasks will help you get into the groove as you are readying yourselves for your extravagant disco night out.
They come in threes and each task-trio also provides clues to a famous musician/band & 1 of their songs (and in some cases the official videoclips).
Complete the tasks and try to guess the name of the musician/band + song for extra points.

◈ Every book read, i.e. every task completed, is worth 10 points.
◈ If you complete all tasks, your team will receive 30 bonus points.
◈ You get 3 bonus points/musician-band, if your guess is correct. (max 45 points)
◈ You get 2 bonus points/song if your guess is correct. (max 30 points)

In case you are not certain about your guesses, you have 1 chance to correct them. Just message UNO Pixie with your band/song list and we'll let you know which of your guesses are incorrect.
If you want to use this option, please send your 1st guess-list 4 days before the challenge ends at the latest (27 March). Once you have the reply, you need to adjust your list by the end of the challenge.

For the books, the usual UNO rules applies.



                        


◈ Books can be started at any point since the start of the UNO challenge (Feb 1)
◈ Books need to be finished after the start of this mini challenge on March 14, 9am UTC (countdown is here) and before April 1 at 9am UTC (when the April UNO month begins).


◈ Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands
◈ The usual book length rules apply
◈ Team spreadsheets will be updated with a mini challenge tab so that you can track your books and claim your points

1. Read a book with a crown on the cover/the word "crown" in the title or in the series title
2. Read a book where a character is a sorcerer(ess)/wizard/witch
3. Read a book where a character is a god / with MPG or top shelf "Mythology"


4. Read a book where a character is involved with a criminal organisation
5. Read a book where the MC has more than 3 siblings/ a book that's #5 in a series
6. Read a book with a white suit or white hat on the cover


7. Read a book shelved as "Christian" or "Religion/Religious"
8. Read a book with a black leather jacket on the cover
9. Read a book with MPG "LGBT"


10. Read a book with a shapeshifter character
11. Read a book with a leopard on the cover or the word "leopard" in the title (it can be in any languages)
12. Read a book where a male character is wearing his hair long/with a long-haired man on the cover


13. Read a book where a character from a book ends up in real life or where a real life character gets transported into a book
14. Read a book set in Scandinavia
15. Read a book featuring a music band in the plot


16. Read a book with a pink dress on the cover/with a pink (more than 50%) cover
17. Read a book with a rags-to-riches plot
18. Read a book with diamond jewellery on the cover


19. Read a book set in Detroit (Motown)
20. Read a book with MPG Erotica
21. Read a book where the MC is a doctor/nurse


22. Read a book where the MC is a dancer
23. Read a book where a character has permed hair/gets their hair permed (extra 5 points for if you find "hair like Meg Ryan's" in the text ;)
24. Read a book with a space shuttle on the cover / with MPG "Space"


25. Read a book where a character is royalty/ shelved as "royal(s)" or "royalty"
26. Read a book with a bird(s) on the cover/a bird name in the title
27. Read a book where a character plays the guitar/with a guitar on the cover


28. Read a book set in a "dark" (dystopian, evil, etc) world
29. Read a book where the MC falls in love with his/her boss(es)
30. Read a book with the word "Dance" in the title/ top shelf "Dance"


31. Read a book with MPG Mystery or Mystery-Detective
32. Read a book with the word "air" in the title/series title
33. Read a book with a black & white cover


34. Read a book set in Australia
35. Read a book with at least 2 men on the cover
36. Read a book with MPG Travel


37. Read a book with MPG Romance
38. Read a book with the word "eclipse" in the title / an eclipse depicted on the cover
39. Read a book set in Wales/with a character from Wales


40. Read a book with 500 pages or more
41. Read a book where the MCs are twins or the MC has a twin brother/sister
42. Read a book set in Scotland/with a character from Scotland


43. Read a book where the MC is an only child/a book that's #1 in a series
44. Read a book with a gun/guns on the cover
45. Read a book set in California/where someone is travelling to California
