Yes, that's even worse, the denial and then you can't get the Read Now. I wonder why they do that?

It's gotta be something in the algorithm. Once the denied is in, when they send all for the Read Now, the algorithm only includes everyone else.

That makes sense.

The Favor This one is a new author for me - anyone read her? It publishes 5/31 so looking for the beginning of May.

I don't have either of those, Vicki. They both sound really good though.

I almost requested The Children on the Hill, but I've only read one other book by that author and thought it was just ok. I will probably try another of her books, but I didn't jump on that one.

I have not read her before. I have had her on and off my TBR, but have never gotten to it. This one sounds more up my alley though.

I'll be interested to see what you think of it. I requested my library order it.

I accepted widgets for The Gatekeeper, which published June 7th (why do I do that to myself!?) and Mad Honey, which doesn't publish until October. If anyone would like to buddy read, let me know. I won't be reading Mad Honey for a while yet, probably August or maybe even September.

(Side note - Pretty sure I accepted The Gatekeeper in part because an early review likened it to Orphan X, which I love.)

Also, I still have The Bodyguard, which I will be reading next month because it publishes in July. I'm looking forward to this one. I really love Katherine Center's writing. If anyone still has this one to read and wants to buddy, I'd be interested.

I don't have any of these either and I'm not adding more requests/books at the moment. I want to do more reading of books I already own or are on my current tbr, and work on the ones I do have from NG at the moment. That can change on a dime though but that's my plan at the moment.

I just saw that there is an ARC for The Last Orphan (Orphan X #8). I'm so excited to read this! I really enjoy the series.

Typically, I am offered an ARC and I end up being late, getting the audio, and reviewing a couple of days after publication. I love the audios and I usually listen to them with my husband who also loves the series. I can't decide if I want to request it or wait and stick with the audio. It doesn't publish until next year!
