Finished my reread of Breakfast at Tiffany's: A Short Novel and Three Stories for the Classics group. Still a four-star book for me.

And now I’m wanting to watch the movie again.

Alice | 3840 comments I finished Jacqueline in Paris Jacqueline in Paris by Ann Mah by Ann Mah. It is about the college years of Jacequline Bouvier Kennedy. I really wanted to like this book it was just okay for me. It was interesting to hear about post war France. I found parts about Jacqueline's live a bit boring and repetitive. Her mother was a very difficult lady, must of been tough putting up with her as a young woman.

Read Bill Bryson's African Diary by Bill Bryson, a Little Free Library find a few months ago. Only about 50 pages, it chronicles his week-long visit to Kenya on behalf of CARE International, where he visited refugee camps and learned about other CARE programs. The book was a fundraiser, with all profits and royalties going to CARE.

Alice | 3840 comments I finished How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix. It is a thriller/horror. I generally don't read that type of book but I couldn't put it down. Totally warped story, but pulls you in makes you keep reading.

I found a free PDF online as well as an audiobook on YouTube for another of this month’s Classic group reads, Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. I have seen the 1957 film starring Henry Fonda and Jack Klugman many times, but had never read the original play before. It’s short enough (only 1-1/2 hours) that I read and listened to it last night. Now I’m wanting to see the movie again!

My 4.72 rounded to 5 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This dystopian novel included a fantastic protagonist, exciting scenes, and a shocking story kept me captivated from beginning to end. It's the third book in the series and they should be read in order.

Karen (xkamx) | 547 comments As usual, when not reading Cozies I'm pretty much reading romance. I've read over 50 items this year (to date), only one of which has been a cozy. I am behind in my Cozy Challenge because I got stuck...

I know, where have I been, right? I borrowed it from my sister ages ago and never got around to it. Only about a quarter into it so far, but it does read fairly fast. I have today and tomorrow off, so we’ll see how much of it I can get through.

Try YouTube, that’s where I listened to it. You can find a LOT of kids books there. 🤓
