People have been arguing over whether or not souls exist for centuries now. Current scientific thinking is they do not.

Current scientific thinking is wrong. Souls---eternal existence, to be rigorous---are critically necessary for a sentient-containing Universe to be stable. For a profoundly simple, logical reason----it keeps them from blowing the Universe the Hell up. (The entire chain of reasoning is laid out in the first chapter.)
