Narma | 49 comments Is anyone planning on doing this? I feel like doubling up on some books for certain weeks. There are quite a few books in my plan, that are really short, but I really want to read. And there are other books pertaining to that weekly topic, that I really want to read. I was thinking of reading two books for some of these weeks.

For example, the week with a book with non human characters, I was initially planning to read Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, but the book is short, I feel like I can add Animal Farm by Orwell to this week as well, since Animal Farm too is very short.

I struggle with completing the book even if it is only one book haha. But I may start listening to audio books on the side during my commute. I'm a grad student so work in the field two days/week with about 2 hrs spent on public transit. But I also happen to live in Boston and my field days have been cancelled for the past 3 weeks (snow days for the schools I work in).

I may try to read two books for the nonhuman characters week. I think my definite choice is Watership Down but I may try to add Call of the Wild since it's so short. I haven't read either so it's worth squeezing in.

If you have enough time to read 2 books, go for it.
I did it for some weeks and will continue for some others ;) I didn't create a topic for all the books but I added them in my plan.

Katie (ktmac_1) I thought about that too. Depends on though if I need a week to catch up on a previous week's book...so far I just have week one that I need to squeeze in somewhere. If I have a second book, I will try to find someone reading it for that week or even another week to add any feed back. so far this challenge is really helping me stay on track. I need tight boundaries to get anything done. I love to procrastinate, even with things I enjoy like reading. Why? Sad to say, I may never know. :(

Christi (christibooks) I wouldn't let this challenge's suggestion of one book per week detain your desire to read books.

There are books that take me longer than a week to read and books that take less. I'm not reading in the order presented in this group for the PopSugar Challenge either.

When I finish a book, I move on to the next title that sounds interesting to me and *then* I figure out what category it fits! I've got 10 checked off so far.

Berit | 138 comments I read more than one book for the topic read a book with the number and the title. However, I have other reading commitments so I read the book for the week and then any subsequent books. I always have a book this is kind of giving me a plan of action :-) ;-)

Marina | 272 comments I'm not planning on doing, but if I have time, I might read two books some of the weeks. I actually did it when the topic was a book with a number in the titel, but that was also because I didn't read one for the topic the week before.
The are some weeks, where I would like to read several books, but with work and other things to do, I just don't see me having the time!

Marah (eyreo) When I start a book, I got completely engrossed in it and have to finish it as quick as I can. I usually finish books 1-2 days, sometimes 3 if it is more than 800 pages. I've doubled up every week so far and I have read thirteen books so far.

Bana AZ (anabana_a) | 414 comments I plan to do this only for the weeks where I originally put a picture book that can be read in five minutes.
Those are the weeks with the funny book (picture book: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, second book: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) and with bad reviews (picture book: Where the Wild Things Are, second book: Lolita).
But I'm saving reading my second choices for the end of the year after I complete all the categories first.

Yasmina Ra | 74 comments I might double up books as well! There are so many books that I really want to read! Or I might as well start planning next year's reading plan :D

message 11: by Emily (new)

Emily I don't double up books based on topic, but I always have side reads going on, so I'm usually reading two or more books at a time. One of them generally fits in the weekly topic, but the others are just books I'm reading for fun or for other challenges.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments I'm doubling up as much as I can so I can read a Challenge book as well as a non-challenge book. I'm not always managing it so I read my challenge book first and if there's time left at the end of the week then I'll read something else afterwards.

Jody (jodybell) | 531 comments All of the books I've read so far fit multiple weeks, but I'm still trying to stick to my chosen books as the 'official' book for each week. That said though, I'm not reading in order! I'm just reading whatever I feel like reading, and then ticking that particular week off. I figure if I finish my 52 books before the end of the year, then I'll just read some more!
