Kristin Several years ago, I was reading a sci-fi book series that I loved, but I never got to finish it and now I can't remember any titles or who the author was. I read this sometime in the 90s, but I'm not really sure when it was published.

The main character was a chick who hunted ghosts in space, visiting various planets with her spaceship. I think she was sort of shunned, because the whole ghost thing gave people the willies.

I don't really remember any other details, but it made a big impression on my childhood self. Of course, a lot of truly horrible things made favourable impressions on me at that age, so I'm hoping that this series doesn't fall into that category.

I don't suppose anyone has the foggiest idea what these books are?

Trike Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman?

Kristin No, that's not the one. Although, that looks pretty cool.

Kristin As I recall, I read these in the mid 90s, and there were a few published already. I think I read three or four, and I seem to remember that the series wasn't concluded with those
3-4 books. I can't remember if more books were already published, at that point.

Kristin Those aren't the ones, either. But at least I'm finding more fodder for my to-read list with this thread, which is always good.
