Rhainay W | 23 comments The movie Speed was made in 1994 and directed by Jan de Bont. The movie is located in Los Angeles, where cop Jack is known for working hard and getting the job done. Also, the movie is full of action and suspense. The movie mainly takes place on a bus where Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves) meets Annie Porter (Sandra Bullock), and together, they endure a task that seems like it takes an eternity to complete. While trying to accomplish their task, they encounter numerous setbacks that prompt their hearts to jump. Through the completion of their job, they form a strong relationship. Also, both Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock do an excellent job of keeping you engaged as you were not always sure if something good or bad was going to happen next. They both bring different aspects to the movie as their characters live contrasting lives and find peace through misfortune. Additionally, both of them are, in my opinion, great actors as I have seen them in other movies.

Furthermore, in all honesty, I did not think the movie would be enjoyable at first, but it turned out well. The action scenes seemed authentic, and I could not tell if they were made live-action or with a computer. The whole film is fast pace as you feel like you are on the edge of your seat throughout the entire movie. As I said previously, this film is full of action, and some of that action includes some gore. With that being said, I would not recommend this movie to people who do not typically like watching graphic things or explosions. Nevertheless, it is still an exceptional movie, and I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy these things. Overall I would rate this movie a 4 out of 5 as it was entertaining and enjoyable.
