What I mean is if you read a book that is a certain theme or genre and you really like it, do you try to read more books like that and go on a binge, or do you try to read something different next?

I feel like I have some good historical romance mojo going, so I'm wondering if I should keep it going or switch to something else right now. I probably will read something different, but sometimes I want to follow the winning streak.

How about you guys?

Ari (aristotlelovesbooks) I always follow my reading mojo. And often I find that I tend to come across more books that I enjoy as opposed to if I were picking and choosing at random.

Jenny | 39 comments I'm the same if I am on a good run with a certain genre I tend to stick with it until I need something different.

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I definitely try to ride the wave until it's sickening.

Lauren (laurenjberman) I usually switch between genres but sometimes I do binge on a certain theme if its grabbing me. Right now I'm on a historical mystery kick.

Rachel Annie (snapdragoness) Love that term, Danielle, "reading mojo". : )

I probably do try to keep up genre winning streaks, yeah. If I read something great I usually want to replicate the book awesomeness feelings in subsequent reads.

I binged on historical romance for the past year and a half, and have been trying to get back to other genres!
In the past couple of weeks I've started rereading romantic suspense books I've enjoyed in the past. The problem is that some of my favourite authors - like Cindy Gerard - only publish one thing every so often. I run out of books!

Sara B | 1 comments I don't really think I have a limit. As long as the book is well written anything goes. I love a good dark romance.
I will say if there is no tender moments between the couple, no real affection, it can be a deal breaker. oh and absolutely no cheating. that is my hard limit.

I like HMs a lot. Sometimes I do want to step away from overt romance for a bit. When I come back, I love it even more!

That is an issue when your favorite author isn't prolific enough. I do like discovering new authors who are awesome in the interim though.

Thanks. It's such an adrenaline rush when you keep getting good books in a row. It's very rewarding.

Yeah, sometimes you can overindulge and get burned out.
