Clotilde Menendez | 1 comments Hi, I was watching a Reedsy video and they explained the difference between the popularity and the bestsellers list on Amazon. To climb, you need 5000 downloads on KU. How do I go about asking for downloads here on Goodreads? My book is totally FREE for KU users. It is for 1s and 2nd graders who love frogs. It is a comical and engaging story about super cute frogs solving a robbery in a world of chocolate. Where do I go to ask those who would be interested to download my book for free for the kids in their lives?
I need tips and direction since I am fairly new around here and still learning the ropes.
Thank you!

Kat (katwiththehat) | 2277 comments I'm not sure that Goodreads is the best place to go about searching for KU reads. I might recommend promoting your book on social media. Facebook. IG. Twitter. Some people do ads. I contact bloggers who review in my genre.

5000 KU page reads (per day?) is a pretty ambitious goal when you're just starting out. For your sort of book aimed at children ages 5-8, I would think more of your audience would be interested in the physical form of the book, especially as you have activity pages, coloring to do, etc. But I do not write in this genre, so perhaps others with more wisdom can chime in.

If you're interested in joining a review group, we have several that are looking for new members. Look for a group that says "now forming" or "one needed" in the thread title.

We also have the one-for-one list. You select a book off the list, read and review it. When you are finished and have posted your links, your book will be added to the list for someone else to choose. Hope this helps!
