What do you think of "Under a Painted Sky"? :D

But other books by my bed include the Chronicles of Narnia and some CS Lewis books.

Emissary by Thomas Locke
Jo’s boys
Anne of green gables
Alice through the looking glass (because I’ve had it on my shelf for over a year and I read heartless by Marissa Meyer so I thought it was time)
I don’t know how most of them ended up being classic but whatever 😂

I went to look at Between Shades of Gray (such a gorgeous cover) because I thought I had read it...and had back in 2019. Actually, I listened to it and rated it between 3.5 and 3.75. Rupta's writing is very haunting to me.
The Book Thief...I liked it, but didn't care for the language and some other parts of it. The narrator was freakin' boring though.
Holy wow. I listened to both of those on the same day back in 2019. Talk about being in the depths of depression...
@Elisabeth, that's a lot of books! I hope your table doesn't collapse! Lol! :-D
I'm really no better because I have like 50 books stacked in my closet that I want to read!

Mandy ~ Julie Andrews Edwards
The Grace of Wild Things ~ Heather Fawcett
The Nightingale ~ Kristin Hannah

And my Bible + a various assortment of schoolbooks. There's a reason I have a bedside table with a built-in storage shelf. 😂

😂 Well it's a nightstand and a lot of those are on the bottom shelf of it. It's sturdy wood so I doubt it'll collapse 😂😏
