Rhainay W | 23 comments The movie Dune was released in 2021 and directed by Denis Villeneuve. The movie is based on a 1965 science fiction novel by author Frank Herbert. Dune is mainly about a young boy discovering his potential and finding his way on a deadly path of pain and destruction. Moreover, it was set in the future when you can travel to different worlds; this adds more character to the story. The film features the stunning actors Timotheé Chalamet (Paul Atreides), Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica), Oscar Isaac (Leto Atreides), Jason Momoa (Duncan Idaho), and much more. In my opinion, they make the movie worth watching as their acting is strong, and you have sympathy for them as they go through the cinema.

Furthermore, I would watch this movie again if I had the chance as even though it is 2 hours and 35 minutes, I did not want it to end. The setting of the movie was very detailed although, the planet that the cinema mainly takes place on does not give the filmmakers much to work with. The technology featured in Dune is also advanced and intricate since, as I stated before, it takes place in the future. Timothée, in my opinion, does an excellent job of playing the role of Paul Atreides, the son of Leto Atreides, as he truly becomes his character and embraces his characteristics. Moreover, even if you do not like science fiction, have not seen the original movie made in 1965, or read the book, the film is still a great one to watch with family, friends, or by yourself. There are a few scenes that may be intense for some people, so I do not think that this movie is for everyone. However, I would give this movie a 4.9 out of 5, and I would recommend it to people who like the actors and actresses in the film or enjoy sci-fi movies.
