One of my favorite classic movies is The Polar Express. Polar Express stars Tom Hanks as many notable roles and others in a 1 hr and 40 min movie filled with nostalgia. The main character being a little boy goes on an adventure on a train and meets new friends while he does not know where the journey will lead to. The other kids tell him they are going to the North Pole and he is very curious to discover the magic of Christmas. The young boy along side his new friends and the conductor who plays Tom Hanks, forgets about his family back home as he is engulfed in a fantasy world full of gifts, snow, and even Santa. The conductor tells the boy that he has to believe in the magic of Santa which he doubts at first, but realizes Santa is real when he encounters him face to face. Santa tells the boy that he must believe and all things can become possible. Along the way the friends get to see the Santa’s workshop, search for the missing ticket, get see the Northern lights, and gets the first gift from Santa. Billy, the often sad kid gets to make memories with his new friends and now enjoys Christmas. The girl is happy to be able to meet Santa and likes her new friends. When the journey comes to an end, the young boy gets off the train he comes home to his mom and sister and sees a train going around the Christmas tree and smiles. He enjoys the company of his family and is excited for Christmas to roll around next year.
