A Game of Thrones question

So i can't remember much but it was about a girl who finds out she has magic and ends up having to live in a tower with an old mentor who i think can't leave the tower?

I just remember he betrays her in the final book and becomes the bad guy with some kind of psychic connection between them

And there's romance with another male mage who fights alongside her and i think they kiss after the final battle
