Lisa Van Der Wielen | 1 comments Hello everyone,

I’m currently running an Kickstarter on my latest book DUNE and would appreciate your help and support. I’m struggling to get backers for the project, it’s the first Kickstarter I have run and I have to admit that it’s been more difficult than anticipated.
I’ve been advised to change the name of the book from DUNE due to the previous book and movie with the same name. This picture book is about a little girl who finds a puppy in the sand Dunes. So I have a few options:
DUNE DOG
DUNE PUPPY
A puppy called DUNE
I’d be interested to know your thoughts and opinions.

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments I think it's sensible advice to avoid the name of a hugely popular book in a different genre. I chose the name Floodtide for my first novel, although there were several books around called Flood Tide. So I made it one word...and since I published it there are now other books called Floodtide! So I'm going to throw in a couple of wild cards, as it seems like your book is aimed at young children - Dune Surprise, or A Surprise in the Sand. Good luck! <3
