Character Castle 2.0

What just happened?
One second she'd been testing the Fringe-ripper, the next she was...
Where was she?
She stood slowly, a hand reaching for an arrow, and glanced around.
There were walls on all sides, stone walls like the kind in the underground tunnels in Auroriatown.
This was new.
She winced as her head pounded, and she rubbed the spot where...
It was bleeding!
Taliya pulled her hand away and bit her lip, looking around for something she could use to staunch the open cut. There was nothing.
She sighed, drew her dagger, and cut a piece of fabric off the bottom of her dress.
She'd really liked that dress.
She held the fabric to the wound on the back of her head and pressed, wincing.
This was miserable on a whole different level.
Suddenly there was a flash of light. Taliya winced and looked around, half expecting a dark warrior to come attack her.
But it was just Joven.
"Whoa, are you good, Taliya?" he asked when he saw the blood.
"I'll be fine," she said.
Joven looked around, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "Where are we?"
Taliya smirked. "Great question, my friend. I have no clue."
"Shall we explore?"
"Yes, let's do it."

The boy noticed them and jumped back several feet, almost falling.
"What is this place, and who are you?" he demanded.
Taliya smiled and removed her hand from the dagger. "I'm Taliya, this is Joven, and we have no idea what this place is. What's your name?"

"Oh...I...I...am Asher," the boy stammered.
Taliya smiled. "Nice to meet you," she said.
Asher's eyes scanned the hallway, darting back to Taliya and Joven again.
"Where are you from?" Taliya asked.

A woman by the sound of it.
Joven and Taliya spun at the same time. There on the floor at the end of the hallway was a girl. A heavily armed, very disconcerted girl.
Taliya winced.
"Hey!" she called.

Then he jumped at the sound of the crash.
Taliya cocked her head.
California?
She turned back to him. "I'm from Auroriatown. First Dimension."

Taliya turned back again.
"Just three people! I'm Taliya, this is my friend Joven, and this is Asher!"

"Woah. Where is that?" he asked.
Taliya's brow wrinkled. "Arctashia?..."

Taliya was busy conversing with Asher, so Joven turned to her.
"Hi. I'm Joven. Where are you from?" he asked. He normally wouldn't have engaged with a stranger, but these were... interesting circumstances. He could handle it.

Asher sighed, his tense features relaxing. “Yeah, California is the very opposite of Virginia. It’s still in the US, though," he said.
"Yeah, I'm on the other side of the country from you," Alex replied.
Joven felt confusion seep into his mind. He had never heard of this place before. Any of these places.
By the look on Taliya's face, she hadn't either.
Alex noticed their confusion. "Where are you from?" she asked.
"I'm from Reynastand," Joven said, losing faith that the two others would know what he was talking about. "Taliya is from Auroriatown."

Taliya and Joven exchanged glances.
"It's in the Dawn Spires, a mountain range in the First Dimension," Taliya said. "Both towns are, actually."

Taliya groaned. She hated the unknown. "Have you heard of Arctashia?"

Taliya cocked her head, then shrugged. "That's strange. Well, how'd you get here?"

Taliya restrained a chuckle. "I have no idea what you're talking about so... we're even."

"A... book?" Taliya asked slowly, uncertain if she'd heard that correctly. "You jumped... into a book?"

Taliya cocked her head. Half those words made no sense to her. She understood them, but they kind of just didn't... fit together.
"How does that work?" she asked.

Taliya's brow furrowed. "I've... never heard of this before. Although, we could probably use that in Arctashia. Most of the books are about true stories, and most of the villains are actually real. So that's a problem..." Taliya paused. She was starting to sound nonsensical.
"How about we look around?" she suggested.

Taliya glanced around and nodded. "It is. Here, lemme see if I can fix that."
She lifted her hand up and concentrated on the power center inside her. Slowly it heated and then her hand leapt into flames.
"There. Nice little torch. I might have to switch hands if I get tired though."
