“I’m Biana. I assume you’re an elf?”

Kiara glanced up when the boy mentioned his name. "My names Kiara" she said quietly.

"I know." He grinned underneath his mask. "Now. Rainbow."
Four small ghosts faded into life just after Corpes muttered rainbow, each with their own color. They were all circling around Corpes and Kiara.

“Hi guys! And yes, I’m an Elf!”

Bianna nodded.

At that moment the boy with the skeleton mask appeared back in the room and went to sit next to the new girl with some sort of objects.
Kathreya had seen something like some of them when she'd met Leytera.
She waited until Biana finished her conversation with Alvay, glad she had someone to talk to.
It didn't matter that she was a couple hundred years older than the other elf - Biana reminded her of Evie.

“Where do you live?”

"Okay." He glanced at her momentarily.

She shrugged. She didn't care what he did with that information.

“I live in Linith! You?”

The ghosts would enter the cameras. Nothing would happen for a moment until the cameras start to levitate.

Kiara watched slightly fascinated by what Corpes was doing.

Kiara sat and thought about what had happened. Elves were apparently real, the boy Corpes could make things levitate, and the girl Biana was a murderer.

The cameras would go to their separate ways, but Corpes--Deadeye-- stayed put. On his tablet, though, showed video feed on what the cameras showed.

((He never said his actual name. FWI))

"What's that for?" Kiara asked quietly. She didn't want to alert the others to what he was doing.

((oh that's right. sorry.))

((no problem!))
He glanced at Kiara questionably and then back to the tablet. "I'm scouting for a way out of this hell hole with four cameras going in different directions, increasing my chance to find the exit fast."

"Ah, good idea." Kiara closed her back pack and stood up. "Well, I'm not sticking around for any more chit chat."

"Finding your own way out, hmm?" Corpes looked and you could see a hint of a smirk in his left eye.

She smirked herself. "I don't work with other people, I'm definitely finding my own way out."

Corpes nodded. "Make sure you don't loop around as I did."

"When you've been surviving in what's left of the world as long as I have, you earn a good sense of direction. See ya." She took off sneakily down the hall.

"...I've been running away from witch hunters blindly, so no wonder why I stink at directions," Deadeye said to himself and went back to watching the cameras.

Kiara walked through the dimly lit corridor, trying to stick to the shadows. "I wonder who lit these torches" she whispered to herself. That could mean someone owned this castle which might not end well for her. She turned a corner and came to a wooden door. "Huh, I wonder what's in here?" She opened the door, and screamed at what she saw inside.

Deadeye heard her scream and didn't really care. She and him were solo acts, so whatever happens to her, it's on her--

One of the cameras followed Kiara. Corpes turned on the audio option on the camera and spook to her through the camera, "What? What happened?"

Kiara was flipping out. She noticed the camera and heard Deadeye talk through the audio. "well" she said shakily "maybe you should see for yourself. She pushed the camera towards the door and it focused on what was inside. Skeletons. lots and lots of skeletons in chains, hanging from the ceiling, and chained to the walls. It was a gruesome sight.

Deadeye blinked. And that's bad? he asked in his mind.
"Cool, I'm coming over. Stay where you are, don't move, or they might sense your fear and eat you. Mwahahaa--" Deadeye teased her before cutting off the audio and walk where the camera pointed.

Kiara rolled her eyes at that. Skeletons couldn't eat you. What she wondered was if this was what happened to people who bothered the lord of the castle.

Deadeye whistled as he drew near. The camera fell down to his hand and a spirit came out of it. The spirit was the color red and it spun around Deadeye and Kiara, laughing in its ghost child voice.
"Whoa. This is weird. I finally know where I belong." Corpes said, pulling up his skeleton mask and went inside the room with the spirit.

"I wonder if this is what happens to people who bothered the guy that owns this castle."

"I hope not. Look for clues. Anything that might help us get out." Corpes said, digging through the room.

Kiara walked into the room and grimaced at the skeletons. It wasn't a very nice way to die.

She looked behind things, checked in the corners. Nothing. "Did you find anything? cause I'm coming up with nada."

Deadeye looked around and got an idea.
"Vincere!" He called, and Vincere read his mind--literally-- and inspirited a whole skeleton body. The skeleton stood up and looked around, and it's eye sockets burned with red aura."

Kiara jumped and flinched. The possessed skeleton reminded her of the way the insane looked when they were first infected. Forbidden memories started to rise, her mom, her dad, her sister. All gone now. She tried to shut down the memory.

The skeleton would dance, and Deadeye would clap along until he saw Kiara's expression. "Vincere..." He said, and the skeleton dropped down dead, and the red ghost appeared.
"Hey, Ki. You alright?" He asked.

"What? oh, I'm fine." She successfully shut down the memory and locked it up in the far corners of her mind. "So, what's the plan? I don't think any of these skeletons-. Wait." She walked up to the skeleton in the corner and pulled something out from behind it. It was a slip of paper. She read it aloud. "All was lost years ago, through the folly of princes and kings blinded by love. The princess was false, the kingdom was lost, the treasure was burned, or so we thought. The Lodestar still remains hidden, in nightmares and fear. Be wary those who seek it. You must conquer death through sacrifice. Beware seeker, beware." the words needed in a hasty scrawl. "What the flip is this?"

"Seems to me like there's some sort of hidden treasure called the Lodestar, and these skeletons belonged to the seekers who didn't 'conquer death'."

"Or this false princess killed them. There's probably over a hundred possibilities to what this means." She tucked the paper into her bag. "I guess learning more requires more exploring."

Deadeye nods. "You're right. Let us ditch this place for now." When he realized he said 'let us' he corrected himself, "I mean, alright, we'll split."

Kiara nodded in agreement. She stepped out into the hall and looked around. No one was there. She stepped into the shadows and continued on. This time with Deadeye behind her.

Even when he said he wanted to split, he followed her. He checked on the progress on the cameras as he walked.

The corridor was long and practically empty, except for the lit torches in the wall. "I wonder who or what lit the torches."

"Perhaps one of the false princess' servants. Or maybe a terrible monster, trying to toy with us," Corpes told her as he looked around.

Kiara stopped in front of a fork in the corridor. "Left or right?" she asked.

"You're the ever-faithful leader. Your call." Deadeye grumbled.

Kiara rolled her eyes. "Left then." she strode forward.

((I'm actually role-playing with three other girls right now and my OC is going to die unless I think of some way to save her. It's really crazy right now. but this is fun!))

I actually like Deadeye and Kiara "teaming up" lol))

Deadeye follows her as he took a Snicker bar from his backpack.
