(Light spoiler) This was an odd read for me. What I liked was the concept, the hard science and descriptions, the logic, the plot, the twists. What I didn't like was the protagonist by the time I was 1/4 through the book, and the very unfeminine, or rather, the very masculine juvenile characteristics she portrays as a 26 year old female throughout the book. That alone was not so bad, but as the book progressed she seems to regress into an adolescent boy becoming almost unceasingly profane and wise cracking to the point of being fatiguing. I would have loved to see Jazz become more refined but instead she becomes more obtuse with a slight exception in the final chapter. Overall it was a good time killer, but not a fantastic read IMO.
