REVIEW:
Read and Buried is the 6th book in Eva Gates LIGHTHOUSE LIBRARY MYSTERY SERIES. This is another success in a long line of great cozy mysteries by Eva Gates. It’s summer at the Bodie Island Lighthouse Library in Nags Head, NC, Lucy Richardson and the lighthouse crew are sweltering as the Nags Head Historical Society is planning a Settlers’ Day Festival located on the Library grounds. At the same time the excavation at the base of the library to repair a crack in the foundation is on-going. Grimshaw Construction finds a mysterious box way down in the excavated hole. A mysterious diary, a coded message and a crudely drawn map are inside the box dating to the Civil War era. The race is on to uncode the message resulting in the town grapevine working overtime. Then there is a break in at the library and a dead body.
I totally enjoy this story. It has everything a good cozy mystery needs, in my humble opinion. First a mystery, then a murder with many, many suspects and then a little bit of romance and I’m a happy reader.
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes their murder on the clean side.

REVIEW: This series never disappoints. Mrs. Morris and the Vampire is the 5th book in Traci Wilton’s Salem B&B Mystery series. I love this series! It has everything I look for in a cozy mystery. The big hearted main character, Charlene the B&B owner. Her close friends, especially Minnie and Avery. There are powerful white witches, her resident ghost Dr. Jack Strathmore, and hunky Sam Elliott look alike Detective Sam Holden. There is magic, a little romance, some paranormal experiences and always a great twist in the end keeping me from deducting the killer before he/she is revealed.

Can't wait for the mini-series! If you like sci-fi mixed with a little mystery and humor, you'll enjoy this book. I don't know who I loved more, Soteria.Reizoko the refrigerator who doesn't know why the orange juice he ordered hasn't been picked up or Jupyter, the tech he keeps calling. I'm not usually a big fan of sci-fi, but I give this 2 👍👍

*REVIEW:
So, okay, I totally didn't see that one coming. What a terrific ending!
Savannah and Dirk have partnered once again to work on a crime, this time at a swanky new day spa. It's barely opened its doors before one of the owners disappears, and it's a head-scratcher with nary a clue to be found. This is followed in short order by a homicide, and it takes all their resources to hone in on the truth behind both incidents.
Interwoven into the tale is the issue of body shaming, and the rude and crude dismissal and disdain of those with ample curves. This old issue was handled well enough in the story, with a happy ending for the person involved. (Note that Savannah is also full-figured, but she doesn't trip on it, which is a boost for those readers who may struggle with this.)
I thoroughly enjoy this series, and have been stringing it along so I don't run out of books too quickly. I did read two this month almost back to back, and it' was great fun.

Not really.
If you think a book might be tagged 'Mistake", you can go to the book's main page and scroll through all its tags. That might be quicker.

Read any book, but you must then leave a review of it with at least four sentences: The Love Lives of Birds: Courting and Mating Rituals What a charming book! The illustrations are beautiful, the writing is both crisp and amusing.
Basically, Laura Erickson has selected a variety of birds and describes their behavior during courting, mating, and raising broods (and also depicts the behavior in pictures). 22 Resolutions for 2022

You can't change what happened in the past. You also can't completely control what happens in the future. What you can do is focus more on the present. - Read a book with you received or gave as a gift.
2. Spend time alone
Alone time gives you a moment to practice self-reflection. Putting yourself in a quiet space to think might lead you to some deeper answers. - Read a book with one person on the cover

Those who write down their goals are 1.4 times more likely to succeed at them than those who don't. It's as simple as that. - Read a book where the MC is a writer or author

Overcoming adversity is a part of getting the things you want. At some point, everyone usually faces some kind of setback. - Read a book with all the letters of ADVERSITY in the title

Maybe for some time you've allowed yourselves to accept what little you can get in life. Now can be the time you demand more for yourself. - Read a book with less than 50 pages

Life really is a journey. We're in a constant cycle of ups and downs. We learn from downs and hope we make decisions that create more ups. - Read a book with UP or DOWN in the title

The new year is a good time to move on from the relationships that were lost. People come and go in our story and that's okay. - Read the last book in a series

Lots of people say learning new things can be a good resolution to set. The more new things you learn, the more that information can help you succeed. - Read a non-fiction book

There are many habits that successful people do that you can start doing in the new year. A few of the ones you can consider adopting in your routine include:
Starting your day early - Read a book with a sun or moon on the cover
or
Prioritizing exercise - Read a book where the MC exercises
or
Being more giving - Read a book with a generous MC
10. Be consistent
It's often consistency that leads one to be successful at accomplishing their goals. When a person a works out regularly, they usually become more fit. - Read a book by one of your favorite authors
11. Think bigger
When we think big, we open the door to the possibility of achieving big. Even if you don't achieve exactly what you want, there's a good chance you'll have achieved something significant. - Read a book with 400+ pages
12. Be intentional
Living intentionally is simply being deliberate in how we go about our life. That means planning and preparing for things ahead of time. - Read a book that is for more than one reading challenge

Our thoughts guide our decisions more than we realize sometimes. If you focus on things that make you happy, you might be more encouraged to take more action. - Read any book, but you must then leave a review of it with at least four sentences

Schedules add structure to your day. If I don't put down things I'm going to do in my day, I usually don't end up getting most of what I wanted done. - Read a book from your TBR list
18. Manage your time better
Managing your time better means not only setting a schedule, but sticking to it. Being diligent about doing things when you'll do them. - Read a book where time is an important part of the plot (i.e., time travel, dual timeline, a looming deadline)

There may be things you're holding on to that it's time to let go. Take time to go through all the things you don't really use more. Decide to make room for new things that can bring you joy in life. - Read a book set in outer space or on a different planet
22. Have more fun
As we get older, life gets more and more serious. Decide you won't let life be serious all of the time. Choose to make time every week for something fun you can do. - Read a book that you are sure you will enjoy
