That was about the most un-sciency science fiction book I’ve read. A good book, a well-told story from two sides, literally two points of view, with interesting characters and the usual court power struggles, but not at all what I was expecting for a science fiction, Culture book from Banks. Still, it’s good to be surprised sometimes.
