Another inconsequential comic set in the Stranger Things universe.

Vanessa Del Ray's awful, chicken scratch art ruins an interesting Witcher story.

Heimdall fights draugr in the latest Marvel prose novel set in Asgard.

The story of a Nigerian Iron Man.

Postal is the tale of a small town, Eden, Wyoming, which doesn't exist. It's a town not on any map. It's not in government records. It's where the worst criminals go when they have nowhere else, to start over.

Pretty pointless.

Ready Player One without all the nostalgia. Based on a video game I've never heard of.

A decent vampire story marred by overly busy, rudimentary art.

A really dark and depressing story of a young mage sent off to school where he was twisted into being a monster for the Empire before breaking free. Not bad, but also not as fun as other Critical Role comics.

An artist illustrates his family's history in Costa Rico.

A graphic novel adaptation of the Sarah J. Maas novel.

This comic is based on a version of medieval version of England where the country is split up and run by the four houses from a deck of cards.

An undead love story. When a CIA agent's lover dies, nothing will stop him from returning to her. Part ghost story, part over the top, 80's testosterone, action-fest.

In the 90's the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles moved to Image for a darker version of the Turtles that get put through the ringer.

Proof that DC will print anything with Batman in it, including this insane nonsense from Neal Adams.

This collection only has 2 issues of the regular series. The rest are miniseries and spinoffs.

The TMNT books continue to be fantastic.

A real lackluster reboot after what Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns both did with the Earth-3 characters.

A terrible comic strip with few punchlines and awful art. Couldn't even finish it.

Not only an important message but a really cool idea. This is based on an actual Superman radio serial from 1946.

The hard partying daughter of Ultraman inherits his powers.

Steve Ditko era Dr. Strange crossed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The new kid in school keeps seeing ghosts in pictures he takes for the yearbook.

Psychics find out they are dying from something that's in their head.

What if Superman didn't return from the dead 30 years ago and the UN replaced him with a robot.

A supernatural woman is released from a cave by a madman. She wears a bunny mask and kills criminals. Nice creepy vibe to it.

Part of a neat little superhero universe set in Africa.

A man in a coma begins to have out of body experiences where he's helped by a psychic and his soul is pursued by a satanist.

This has a neat concept. It's about a purgatory that everyone goes to when they die that is kind of a dreary steampunk city.

This was really good. It's about a mom who was trained to be a hitman at 13. Now a government agency has killed her mentor and is coming after her and her daughter.

Donny Cates brings his story of a teenager giving birth to the Antichrist to a close. I absolutely loved this series.

Collects all of the digital Overwatch comics since the game's launch.

Devil's Island was a real French prison during the Napoleonic era. This is a fictional story of 2 soldiers sent there to die.

An interesting story that steals from an old Star Trek story. Anyone over 12 has died from a virus leaving children to try and survive on their own.

The Walking Dead set in feudal Japan.

The writing isn't bad but I hate the whole idea of this retcon. It completely changes her past and origin.

Marvel supposedly made these annuals about the people who bonded with the Infinity Gems at the end of Infinity Wars. A couple of them do not have anything to do with the Infinity Gems at all.

A bunch of oddball odds and ends from Mike Mignola. These wacky but macabre tales are great.

Well, this group of Warren Ellis stories didn't hold up nearly as well as I remember when I read this back when it came out in floppies. Ellis's world view is REALLY dark.

Billed as Picto-Fiction, this EC collection isn't true comics but more illustrated prose.

A comic for kids about some children from around the world who inherit powers to battle evil. It's a decent setup for a kids' comic. The issue is that it's very repetitive.

A terrible comic strip with few punchlines and awful art. Couldn't even finish it.

Madman has had such a haphazard run of books over the last 30 years over a ton of publishers. It's awesome to have it all in one place. I love the ginchy nature of the series too.

Set in Mumbai, Death is fired from her job when a baby is born that will discover immortality. Death becomes mortal and seeks to find this boy and end his life before he cures death. Like Daytripper, it's one of those books that make you revisit your life.

A really solid translation of the Michael Moorcock series.

Acts of Vengeance was the coolest idea when I was a teenager. A bunch of the big villains got together, tired of losing to their archenemies. So they mixed things up with all of the villains attacking heroes they'd never fought before. This contains the weakest of the Acts of Vengeance crossovers.

The story continues after The Shame Trilogy. Shame is dead but we don't get much more than a little intro of what is coming next.

Very much a middle volume that I think will read better once the arc is finished. John Bolton's art is still the draw here.

A 70's political thriller mixed with a sexpoitation film and a revenge plot.

A man escapes from a mental hospital. He believes he is Odysseus travelling through the underworld instead of Winnipeg.

I was surprised how well these two properties worked together. Vampirella teams up with Barnabas Collins to take down Lady Bathory and Jack the Ripper.

An immortal hires a writer to transcribe his life. Meanwhile his immortal wife is stealing lives to fuel her own. This definitely had a 90's Vertigo vibe to it and Vince Locke often worked for Vertigo during that period.

Not a fan of uncanny x-men after first issue. The blob appearence in this was also dissatisfying
Fighting American (Classic) #1

Some solid horror about a loser teenager and the girl he loves becoming the next Children of the Woods.

A wordless comic about a fly's life from its birth in a trash can up until its death. I know this is supposed to be goofy and fun, but I just found it tedious.

A by the numbers post-apocalyptic tale about some teenagers trapped within a walled city after a mutant plague breaks out.

A really basic story about a family being chased through a trench on an ice planet.

A prose novel about Dr. Doom.

Unlikable characters. Terrible art.

Different creators write stories set in the Black Hammer universe ala Legends of the Dark Knight.

Julian is your stereotypical, unabashed loser druggie. His girlfriend finally gets fed up and kicks him out. Julian never learns as he attempts to take advantage of everyone he knows.

A half baked story of dream worlds and reality with a plot stolen from Dr. Sleep.

Madman crossovers with Nexus and The Jam.

Aly Fell's artwork is exceptional. If only is storytelling was as good. This is about a young woman who stumbles upon 3 men summoning a demon in 1600's England.

Spinning out of volume 18, The Trial of Krang, the Turtles gather all the witnesses against Krang.

First we see the meeting of the full Pantheon. This actually kind of reminded me of something we might have seen in a Sandman comic or something of that nature. Then Krang is finally trialed for his crimes. That ending!

The Turtles have returned from Dimension X and everything has changed. The Triceratons have come to Earth to reclaim their home.

In the wake of the Triceraton invasion, NYC has taken a ton of damage. All of the various factions are jockeying for more power while the Rat King returns.

The weakest of the TMNT Universe books to date. With this volume, the book is becoming a true anthology book with little impact on the main book.

Some solid stories but at this point, I think it was probably a smart decision to end this series.

A speedster dressed like Captain America steals Cap's shield to use it to give Captain America a bad name. Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson go on a cross-country trip after fake Cap and meet a network of people inspired by Captain America called the Captains along the way.

The Image run of TMNT is pretty brutal for the Turtles. Raphael lost an eye and Donatello got turned into a cyborg in the previous volume. Plus, Splinter mutated into a bat. Now one of the boys loses a hand.

The highly stylized art and dayglow colors belong on a 70's blacklight poster instead of a Supernatural Western comic.

This is pure 1970's Kung Fu along the lines of any Bruce Lee movie. Our main character comes to New York from China to settle his uncle's affairs when he's selected as the next Spirit of the Earth.

Kevin Eastman tries and succeeds at creating one long gun battle. Yet, it's still very monotonous and boring. Nor am I a fan of Simon Bisley's art.

Brian Azzarello seems to think writing a good comic consists of just trying to shock the reader with the levels of depravity he's willing to go to.
