The Bone Tree by Greg Iles 4/5
The Penn Cage series continues with Dr. Tom on the run. Lots of violence, both present and past. This is a 800+ page book and has lot to absorb

The Lifeguards by Amanda Eyre Ward 3/5
An arc of a murder/mystery (not the summer read that you might think from the title). How are the three best friend lifeguards involved in the death of the young girl, and what will their mothers do to protect them. This book left a lot of loose ends, but from what I'm hearing, the final edit is different. So will interested to see how the final book changes.

Nice list Dawn, The Bone Tree was a lot to absorb, so good. I suppose ARC 's do sometimes change in the final edit, interesting that you know to look for that with The Lifeguards
