I guess this is already considered a modern classic, seeing it's been tagged 'classics' multiple times.
I am glad WPF finally made me read this one, it’s been high on my priority list for years, but still haven’t been picked up. As expected, I loved it. Even though Olive is a grumpy lady, she is also very recognizable, and caring if you look closely. All the stories were touching, and I felt like I really got to know the characters. So much so, that when I saw the miniseries afterwards this weekend, I felt like I have seen it before, and just got a face to the different persons. Great book, glad to see Strout is moving forward to round 2.
