It’s 4 years Post-Flare in the finale for this post-apocalyptic trilogy. The world is starting to get back to normal and Maggie is off to college, accompanied by Edwin. I loved the twists and turns that this final book took. It wrapped up the trilogy in a very satisfying way. I also loved the tension and buildup between Maggie and Edwin. I love age-gap romances when they’re done right and this was done right. Was it a little predictable? Of course, but it was still fun and entertaining. The entire series was a great read.

Review: A start to another great series by EM Lindsey. It's a (former) enemies to lovers tale (they get over the enemies part really quick so it's pretty light), with two men who are just trying to get their lives together. Full of love and passion, I was rooting for these two from the start and really enjoyed their chemistry. It's definitely sports light, not a huge sports read, but just enough to get an alternate reality view into an athlete's life. I listened to the narration by John Solo and thought he did a phenomenal job. Even with the accents, everything was top notch and kept me fully engaged with the story.

Review: The final book in the Lords of the Var series. Now all of the siblings have found their mates.
Jarek seemed to be the most opposed to mating, but he was actually the easiest to come to terms with his feelings. He was realistically afraid of his reaction to Mei, but it didn't stop him from acting on his feelings.
Mei is my favorite heroine out of the rest in the series. She was smart and cunning when needed.
I also found myself laughing more throughout this book. Jarek definitely met his match when Mei came into the picture.

This book was absolutely fascinating. It was a blend of political intrigue, sci-fi, humor, and romance that kept me entertained from beginning to end. The world-building was wonderful and the characters were so interesting that I was on the edge of my seat with every new revelation. Lane and Renée are on opposite sides of the law, but have so much in common. I loved their bantering, even in the middle of tense situations. And the very subtle ace-rep made me very happy. This is the first Cass Lennox book I’ve read, but I am definitely going to be reading more.

Review: Usually Marina rips my heart out, and while my heart definitely hurt for Mike and all the internal pain he was feeling, this was just so sweet and lovely and made me very very happy. These two were PERFECT for each other. Jason is just exactly what Mike needs and allows Mike to be himself in such a beautiful way. It was laugh out loud funny at times, I did cry (hey it's Marina, and I'm a sensitive gal), and the chemistry in the steamy scenes were off the chart. Highly recommend this lovely little novella.
I will just also note the gender exploration seemed extremely well done to me. I am a cis woman, so I am by no means an expert (my opinion means literally nothing here), but it just felt very real and me have all the feelings. If any nonbinary/trans folx feel differently, I would of course love to know, but my impression was that it was a very realistic interpretation of someone going through figuring out where they fall on the gender spectrum.
**I'm using male pronouns for Mike because that seems to be where he lands by the end of the book, but understand that others might feel more comfortable using nongendered pronouns.**

Review ~ It was good. It was better than meh, but it was not as good as great. There were mirror differences in the twins. Those differences were great for me as I liked better on one and a different trait on the other. For instance, I loved Avi personality. He was so sweet and so funny and I really really liked his personality. With Asa their sex was just so damn Hot!! Like he had that Hunter/prey down and he was rough one minute and caring and nurturing the next and him and his little reporter Louis were fire. I know. I like the really weird ones.

Felix was a mixed bag for me. I love his personality at the beginning of the book and all throughout the other book. But then he just went all weepy and just he was not sarcastic he was not funny anymore. To the point where I was just constantly eye-rolling. The first time it happened I really felt for the kids and I guess I need to remember he's 22 but I just wanted to say who your shit together dude. I mean I wanted to tell him to pull up his ass big girl song and put it on.

I also wish they wouldn't gloss over all the payback they were putting out.
August & Lucas are still my favorite couple & Psycho still my favorite book. I was most disappointed by Atticus & Jericho. Really looking forward to Thomas & Aiden. I really wish the kids would parent-trap them. But I'm also worried because this series hasn't been getting better. Instead for me it's been slacking. So for the next two books OJ,

Review: Another edition to the Fantasyland series. Isn't it grand!?!
Anyway Maxine is forced to leave our world to pose as her "twin" from a parallel world (universe?). The plan is for her to pose as Lady Maxine and marry Loren, Marquess of Remington. Her dad not dad is an as the is forcing her into this by holding her mom and "sister" captive.
Luckily, he doesn't succeed in his endeavors, but his wish for Loren to fall for Maxine may indeed come true. He just won't reap the rewards.
Now Maxine and her mom, have to figure out how to navigate in this world that is so different from theirs, all the while wondering what will happen if Edgar spills the beans.
That may sound like these two ladies are attempting to continue to be dishonest, but no. They are just unable to speak the truth about their circumstances. Why? Well you'll have to read to get the nitty gritty details.
Even though I could have done without the "dad not dad's" throughout the story, I loved the rest of it. I loved how fierce the ladies where when it came to the things they cared about. I loved how Loren was so enamored with Maxine (Satrine) that he was willing to do anything for her.
All I can say is Kristen knows how to write alpha men and kick ass women like no other.
Now I'm left wondering if there will be more, because that ended made it seems like we may be getting more in this world. (hopefully soon)

Review: I LOVE Hazard and Somerset so much. I devour these books and am constantly waiting for the next one. Also as an added bonus you get North and Shaw in all their glory in this one. So while I could have definitely used more Emery and John being sweet with each other (they were just not enough for my romantic heart), I guess it was okay because I got to see Shaw and Emery be the BFFs we all know them to be. My favorite part though would probably be Colt and Emery actually talking instead of teenage angst and parent fear turned into anger. It took a while to get there, but this book definitely left me feeling more solid about everyone in this kooky family. (Which means I'm totally not prepared for the havoc I'm sure Gregory will unleash in the last book!)

Where there’s dragons, there’s fire. And damn! This book was on fire! Chloe witnesses her fiancé kissing another woman in the airport and heads off on a business trip with her two very sexy bosses. She’s obviously distraught, but nothing could prepare her for what awaits her once she boards the plane. Alec and Lachlan are a very happy couple, but Chloe is what they need to complete their lives. The rest of the book is a fast-paced, heat-filled, magical treat. I flew through it and enjoyed every second.

Review ~ I really like this book. Kash was always the character. But you saw more of his true personality rather than the Playboy that everyone thought he was. You also see what made him turn into that Playboy in public.

There were times my heart broke for Kash. There were times my heart broke for Day.
The only thing that would have made this book better was more of Ian's antics.

We did get a serious side of Ian and I love the way he explained the difference and dominance and submission to Kash. That was a beautiful explanation summary.

Review: I started this without realizing this was spinoff from another series. I wish I would have read the novella that these two were in, because going in blind made Kynan look like a complete jackass. It took me a bit to warm up to him at all.
The way he behaved when Joslyn came to him after what she had endured.... Yeah, I kept thinking she should choose someone else to to protect her. And for this grown ass man to still be holding a grudge for something a 19yr old girls did to his then 26 yr old ass. Just no.
Once I did warm up to him, things got better.
I really liked Joslyn from the beginning, and felt for her due to what lead her to Jameson Force Security in the first place.
As always, Sawyer Bennett managed to pull me in to the story and she definitely knows how to bring the heat.
