Review: This series is just so much fun. Does it make sense? No, not really. Do I still want to immediately read the next book? Yes, definitely. I LOVED Atticus. He really just needed a huge hug, and luckily Jericho was there to give it to him. I also hope Jericho's family means we will get a ton more stories!

Week # 9

Option ##11 ~ Jin
Book ~ Sweating Lies 4.5* ✔️ 6/4
Pages ~ 286 pages
Qualifications ~ He'll do...
Review ~ Damn this was good.

This is DARK, DARK MM!

So Jiao is an undercover cop who gets found out & is sold into Human Trafficking. He is told he will either be a Gladiator or Toy.

Read the Book... You know you want to...

This is also a spin-off in the world of Blaire by Anita Gray which I haven't read but Def intend to. You can definitely still understand this if you haven't read that book. I'm not even sure it's a spin-off. But the author borrows a couple of their characters.

Crankshaft by K.M. Neuhold

Read: 6/6
Rating: 5 stars
KM Neuhold is an automatic buy for me and her Four Bears Construction series is my favorite. This is the first book of the spin-off series and it delivered on everything I love so much in KM’s books. There are an endless amount of laughs, sex as hell bears, off-the-chart sweetness, and the perfect amount of kinky sexiness. Porter and Steele are both a little lost, not sure what they want from the other, but they fall so well together. And then there’s the added bonus of one of my absolute favorite tropes, the smaller top. I’m just going to be eagerly awaiting the rest of this series because this one was amazing!

Week #10 ~ Option 1

The Five by Lily White
Pages: 349
How the book qualifies: 9 in page count
Finished: 06/06
Rating: 3 stars
Review: I honestly don't know how to rate this story. I see a lot of 5 star reviews, but I don't think that it's going to rate that high for me. Even knowing that it won't be a 5, I don't know where else to go.
This story...
It's not a romance, in my opinion. It's more erotic fiction, sans romance. The sex is descriptive, but it wasn't enticing. I hope that makes sense.
Mostly, I felt bad for this young girl who was used and abused by men most of her life. She had no parental or other adults in her life to show her that she was worth more than her body.
I felt bad for her, but I didn't like her. Because even though she had been used and abused, you can tell that she knew how to use her body to get what she wanted. It was very evident during her interactions with Justin.
For someone so smart, Justin was lead by the wrong head also. Even before I got to the end of this book, I felt that the writing was on the wall, and he was too intoxicated by lust to pay attention to the signs. Did I think it would end like it did? Not exactly, but I figured Justin would end up having to face some hard truths.
Honestly, the only person that I liked for any amount of time in this book was Rowan, and that ended even before the accident.
Also, I have a hard time believing that no man thought to wear a condom with this girl. Pregnancy is not the only thing they should have been worrying about.

Super sweet holiday romance with mega film star and a flight attendant , unfortunatly the ending was too quick and sharp and i wanted to know what all their friends and family thought

I guess I should have paid attention to the last call (face palm)

Option 1

The Guy in the Window by Cara Dee

How it qualifies: Number 494 on Best Gay For You

Rating: 3 Stars
Review: I can see why so many others love this book, but the writing just doesn't quite work for me. Good, but nothing special.

I was thinking the same as Shan as last week I was with the grandbabies & those of you that know me at all know when I'm with those babies, nothing else matters.

Week #9 ~ Option 1

Riggs by Sawyer Bennett
Pages: 322
How the book qualifies: Handsome man on cover
Finished: 06/12
Rating: 4 stars
Review: 've been looking forward to getting into the story of Riggs. Ever since he was introduced and not bonding with his teammates, I wondered what happened to make him this way. How he ended up taking care of his sister Janelle.
We get all of that and some. I liked the development of his relationship with his sister and the fact that he and Veronica couldn't fight their attraction, so they started a relationship the only way two gun shy people could think to do that.
The thing is, I want more Baden. He stole any scene he happened to be in. Not just in this book, but the previous ones also.
The ending of this was sad on one hand, with the tragedy that occurred, but beautiful on the other with the realizations and heartfelt words that were expressed.
