Captivated by You

I have read the first three of the Sylvia Day's Crossfire series which I thought would be a Trilogy.
When she published CBY I refused to buy it. My take is she did it to make money while dragging the story.
My question is:Am I making a mistake by not reading it...especially now that she wrote a fifth one.(really Syvia?)
To me EBY solved all the issues...

I agree with Daw4. I was one of the readers left unsatisfied by CbY, primarily because I felt like there was no resolution to any of Eva and Gideon's issues. If that's what you're waiting for, resolution, I think you should wait until the fifth book is out. That's where most of it (fingers crossed) will be.
If you are not sure about reading this book, I'd say wait until the final book is published and others have read it and assessed the story line and reviewed.
I liked this book, and after two reads think I began to understand all the underlying subtleties of it. Every other chapter is from Gideon's point of view and it is interesting to get inside his head.
But a lot of people have not enjoyed the book and feel the story line is being stretched.
CBY solves the Megumi storyline quite quickly (without spoiling anything I suspect that was added to the third book to enable Eva to move towards something work-wise which she thinks about doing in CBY, which will be finalised in the last book.
It also solves the Nathan bracelet subject just as quickly.
Brett appears to be dealt with, but I am not 100% sure of that as there is a chance more will appear in book 5 about him.
Corrine and Anne seem to be the ones to watch going forwards, and we don't learn much about Gideon's family problems, although we see a lot more about Ireland and Gideon's friends (several are introduced in the book) and those parts are interesting to read.
I'd say do as I suggested at the start of this answer, wait for book 5 and how people react to that, read a variety of reviews, not just one or two - I usually look on Amazon or on here for longer reviews as they tend to say more about how they found the book.

i think that if you have it set in your mind that i twas always supposed to be a trilogy and that it's a money making ploy, then that's not necessarily the best perspective on things. think about it - she was writing a story that had a really detailed plot line, and i think that had we only gotten 3 books, then there's so much that we never would have gotten answered. it's much more long tail than that. too many characters were introduced throughout and too many story lines were left unresolved that there's definitely a need to have more than just 3. 4 or 5, well i think that's good - but to have to wait for so long, that's what bugs me more than anything else.
