The year is 1927, it is the end of winter, and you are once again residents of the town Carcosa in eastern Maine. Old friends, neither of you have resided in the town since you were teenagers; both of you have returned for reasons that are your own.
Inquisitive to a fault, you've both been intrigued by the recent disappearances of children, something you recall from your own childhoods. The mystery effects both of you, hitting close to home, and you must team up to investigate what is going on before it is too late.
(In truth, Lake Hali is home to Lythalia, a benevolent entity and daughter of Azathoth. She is the Sleeper Beneath the Lake, and is corrupting children with eldritch blood in order to create a mass of being-slaves to aide her in her ascension out of her eternal rest.)

Name || Edith "Edie" St. James
Age || 24
Appearance ||
Personality || Edie is plucky and youthful, and has a hard time keeping her thoughts to herself, something that may have gotten her into trouble once or twice. She enjoys being active and outdoors, though she cannot deny the pleasures of sitting inside in a cozy chair while sketching with a cup of tea.
Interests & Skills || Tennis, dressmaking, drawing, finding the little details, reading people's emotions
Backstory || Edie was born in Carcosa, Maine in 1903, the third of four children (an older sister, an older brother, and a younger sister). Her family was poor but moderate in their survival, and she had a decent childhood—that is, until her younger sister went missing in 1918, when Edie was 15. A few other children in the small town went missing as well, and there were fears that some perverted child kidnapper was on the loose. In the end the children were found and returned, but so perturbed was Edie by her sister's behavior upon returning that Edie moved to New York City as soon as she turned 18. She found employment as a laundress, her main goal being to become a seamstress. Now six years later, a dressmaker in her own right, she has returned to Carcosa, called back by a mysterious family emergency—her sister is missing again.
