Leslie Garland | 197 comments Hi Ashley,

Might you be interested in my book The Ghost Moth; a tragic tale of the Spirit versus the Flesh?

The blurb:-

“Is it possible that a five hundred year old story of a young monk and his lover could impact on a family in the present day? As Joe reads an old folk tale and is drawn into a world of religious fanatics, witches, angels and she-devils, this unlikely possibility gradually becomes increasingly probable.

A story about the desires of the sexes and the doctrines of religion, with hints at the supernatural and beautiful and atmospheric imagery, this controversial, adult, speculative, spiritual and philosophical tale will intrigue, entertain and keep you guessing in equal measure up until the last page.”

The story has been given 5 stars by Readers' Favorite, it is also a recent Book Excellence Awards Finalist, which I guess counts for something.

Tom discovers that deciding what is true and what is Truth, is not easy as he recollects his final term at school when his class returned to a new beautiful class teacher, a donation of stuffed animals and birds by an eccentric benefactor, which he and his friends subsequently discovered didn't appear to be quite as dead as they looked.

Shruthi Venkata | 4 comments Very warm greetings to Ashley and other readers and reviewers! I am Shruthi Venkata Sai Sistla, a 20 year old girl from New Delhi, India ( my first name is Shruthi).

My debut novel , titled “ Sanguine Shenanigans and Sinfulness “ was successfully published this year. My book is centred around the ideas of liberalist feminism, destigmatisation of reproductive health and rights and the eradication of misogyny in not just the Indian society, but across the world. I am looking forward to promoting it to reach a wider audience and gain recognition for my efforts. My book is available here on GOODREADS. Could you let me know if you are willing to read it and post a review on it, so that more people will know about it and my book can be successfully disseminated? It would be helpful if you could do this :)

Tiki Black | 23 comments Hi Ashley and everyone!
I am Tiki Black, a new author and I have just self-published a poetry collection, "The Sound Of The Broken Wand". The book is 84 pages / 7.3K words / 24 works and available in paperback and kindle formats.

The book encourages us to break the wands of survival to allow for creative growth and emancipation. There are 6 sections covering each a theme implicit in storytelling, particularly fairy tales from our childhood and beyond: the blood (representing life and death), the cage (representing prison and refuge), the mirror (reflection and deflection), the crown (power and duty/debt), the shoe (journeys and unbeaten paths) and the wand (bewitchment and magic). Each section contains 4 works.

If you're interested in reading it and/or reviewing it honestly, it is available as an ARC https://booksirens.com/book/LIDTE1O/D... as well as on Kindle Unlimited.

Gary | 23 comments Looking for either Beta readers (short term) or Amazon/Goodreads/blog reviewers for my forthcoming police procedural, Mother of Valor. MoV is the 4th book in the Valorie Dawes Thrillers series, but can be enjoyed standalone without having read the prior books. Contact me on my website: https://garycorbinwriting.com/about-g...

Here's the blurb:

Val's toughest adversary yet is someone she hardly knows:  her mother.

As part of a prostitution sting operation, rookie cop Val Dawes uncovers a national sex trafficking ring operating out of Clayton, one with ties to a violent shadowy right-wing splinter group. Her investigation reveals the group may be planning a violent attack in a matter of days.

Just when the investigation heats up, her estranged mother, who left without a trace a decade before, suddenly reappears on the scene, with a nine-year-old brother Val never knew she had. Manipulative and cunning, her mother divides Val’s attention and loyalties, seemingly intent on disrupting both Val’s promising career and her rekindled relationship with her father.

As Val the group’s violent plans near, Val tries to safeguard her family, leading to shocking discoveries about why her mother returned—and why she left in the first place.

Can Val keep her community safe without destroying her family?

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Genre: Romance

Synopsis: Gabriela Espinosa is no 007! Let's get that straight! What she is, is the owner of La Duquesa, a high end night club in the Centre of London. In Book 1 of the Era Capoeira Series, she meets a man one night who will ignite her passions. The meeting happens quite by accident... because she is spying! As Let's Play begins, Gabriela is called by the rich, often sensual music of Capoeira. If she hadn't been in the right place at the right time, they might never have met. But from the moment they first lay eyes on each other, the spell was cast...

Sean Lancaster is a successful hotelier in the prime of his life. His business is growing leaps and bounds and his life has been enriched by Capoeira, a martial art which he has loved since he was a teenager. He has no complaints. He just had to hope that after he gives her a business card, she actually contacts him.
