She's 18, but she's the oldest - she's in the top year if that makes sense. Sorry, words like college are used differently in different places but very specifically! For us, a college is part of a university, or education you can do between 16-18, although you can go at any age as well.

If the MC is out of secondary school it works. I see what you're saying about the grades being completely different, but I read an article just now and past secondary school should be the UK equivalent (or close enough)
