I just got my copy of this book today so I'm looking forward to getting started.

Hi Nicki and Christine. This is a worthwhile book to read. My advice is to persevere with it. It takes some time for the characters etc to be introduced but it's worth the effort. Enjoy

Thanks for the advice Zara! I am looking forward to seeing how J.K. Rowling tackles a story that doesn't include Harry Potter.

Nola and I decided on What the Duke Desires by Sabrina Jeffries.

I hope you like this as much as I did. Kara and I read it as twins last summer, and I absolutely LOVED it!

Rachel and I have decided to read Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain by David Eagleman.

Caro and I had a hard time deciding what book to choose because we had so many good books in common! We settled on Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.

I'm super excited - this will be my first Murakami novel.

I just got this one from my library after it being on hold at my library for over three months. I am excited to get into it!

Nadia and I have finished Falling into Place and we both really liked it a lot! The story revolves around a young girl who drives her car off the road to make her suicide look like an accident. The story is written with a non-linear time sequence, and shifts focus among the characters, but isn't confusing at all. The characters are well done, and the narrator is very unusual.

We both rated it 4 stars.

Arushi and I decided on The Handmaid's Tale. I've just finished. I think Arushi is still working on it. Don't want to give away too much, in case she sees this, but I rated it 4 stars. It's going to be fun discussing it with her.

Sherry and I both enjoyed the Book - What the Duke Desires by Sabrina Jeffries.
We brought different ideas of the book to the discussion. We were both impressed with the characters and the writing. We enjoyed how many elements of human nature were brought into the story such as parenting, matters of trust, dealing with mental health issues and some moral and ethical issues. We found these made the characters well rounded and believable.
The writing was excellent. The storyline and plot well thought out and researched. There was humor and doses of reality in the story.
This book had clean language and the love scene was done in good taste with passion between the characters but not tacky.
We both enjoyed the characters of Lissette and her brothers and the Duke. We are looking forward to reading the rest of the series as we have become attached to the characters and look forward to learning their fates! We decided that the book deserved a 5 star rating.

I'm now at chapter seven of 'The Lincoln Myth', by Steve Berry. How are things at your end Storm is??

Christine and I just finished The Casual Vacancy and we both agree that while you definitely need to keep reading through the beginning, this novel represents why we love JK Rowling. We both gave it 4 stars.

It is definitely worth reading. JK Rowling can write more than Harry Potter.
