I have a question about the "review" aspect of our completion posts. Is it required to actually write a review of the book, or is this optional? Or am I misunderstanding what is meant by review?

You can write a review or do status updates. For the review part, it honestly doesn't have to be long. It can be like a sentence or two. Or you can write a summary of what you think in the actual review post you post on your team's review.

For the "in-text" words. Can it be a variation of the tense?

ie...
Thumped for "THUMP"
Camo for "CAMOUFLAGE"
Overconfidence for "OVERCONFIDENT"

Sorry for just seeing this, Andy actually sent me a text about this this morning. So, here are my answers:

Yes, for Thumped because 'thump' is in that word.
No, for Camo instead of Camouflage.
For Overconfidence, hmm. Yes, I will accept overconfidence or overconfident.

Fixed! I also did this for the other two team's as well.

Are series substitutions allowed in list tasks?

I have a question about the retelling bonus! Does the book we read also have to meet a Sidekick task? Or is it a separate task entirely?

A book will have to meet a side kick task in order to get the retelling bonus. The only time it doesn't have to fit a task if it is under 100 pages.

What do we do if a book doesn't have a page count? Carissa read this book, but it doesn't have a page count on here or Amazon.

Does she have an ebook version? If so, follow this formula -

Looking into the ebook version on my kindle, I can see that this book has 4991 locations in total. We will do the following:

4991 locations / 15 = 332.733333 pages

Drop the decimal points for the page count. You will round up or down depending on the decimal number (.5 and above will round up & anything below .5 will round down).

Total page count for this example is 333 pages

You can find formula's for audiobooks or ebooks without a page count on GR or Amazon HERE.

Question about how MPG works with the new page. So now we get a handful of genres on the page below the description and then you can click "...more" to see a few more genres on the main page before having to click "...show all" to get to the pages of shelves.

For the below title, if I click on "...more" then Humor shows up on the main book page. Does this count for MPG Humor since I had to click "...more"?

Princess Kate has kids under 7 though they are not mentioned in the book, can this work?

If the author's name is Tee O'Fallon, would the author's initials be TO, TF, or TOF?

Most people had the Beta page rolled out as the permanent new book page. They're slowly working on forcing everyone over to it. You're extremely lucky if you still have the old one!

Does the book have to be tagged retelling to get bonus points, or is it still possible to get bonus points if the book isn't a retelling but the MC really reminds you of one of the disney characters?

If they remind you of a character then you get 2 bonus points.

Could metal magic count as an element?

in the categories that say "MC" could it be a main character but not the main character? Like part of the main cast but not a POV character

Can graphic novels be used for categories or just page points

Graphic novels count at 1/4 the page points. So if it equals 100+ pages after that then it can count towards a category. If not, then page points only.
