Christina ♡ (too_many_choices) I'll be totally honest, I watched part of the second movie before reading the books, just because a) it was on tv and b) Robert Pattinson (if I squinted hard enough I could pretend Cedric Diggory was still alive). I started the books but never finished for multiple different reasons. It's next on my TBR after The Inheritance Games, though! I'm currently on a book buying/hold placing ban to make sure I finish those two.

message 5: by duda (new)

duda i don’t feel strongly about it except for the first one that holds a special place in my heart. i love it so much specially the vibes and edward cullen who is perfect in my viewing and i can fantasise about him being cedric diggory bc he definitely didnt die🫶🏼

message 6: by M (new)

M I could write about those movies/books all day. I watch them too many times a month I have a strict minimum of 3 watches per movie, however I haven’t completely finished all the books they are in my tbr someone along the line of the coming months. Anyways, I could reenact every scene in those movies, they bring me peace and take my pain away. I know not many people think very strongly about these movies/books but I love them. (I especially like looking at Edward thinking it’s Cedric :) ) the 2 things I strongly ‘dislike’ 💪 abt these books/movies are the new covers, and the love triangle. Like it’s not even a live Trinagle at this point in time but I still really dislike how there was time for us as readers/watchers to fall in love with Jacob and immediately go back to Edward. It really pissed me of an Jacob deserves better I’m still team Edward for life. Besides the point, I dislike live trinagles in every book I read they make me mad and I can never think straight cuz the main character always does the dumbest shit to make the one I want her/him to end up with go away. Also, the new covers fuck with my anxiety man. Like they couldn’t she put the entire title on one line. I know she could’ve.

uxue ☆ | 10 comments so i love the twilight movies but only for the aesthetics you know? actually it's like a love/hate relationship because i can't get over how cringe the movies are. are the books better? should i read them?

periwinkle ⭐️ | 13 comments The movie was kinda EHHHH but the books where amazing <33.

message 9: by soph ♡ (new)

soph ♡ | 3 comments i think of the movies as an aesthetic comedy. Like if i ignore what is happening they are really pretty movies to watch. but also they are great for a laugh. the books are definitely better tho. slightly less cringe and just fun to read. I will say that almost every supporting character is more interesting than the main love triangle. we need a book about alice or something.

Ava | 1 comments i love the books and movies with my whole heart and they are an absolute comfort to me.

Tekla Svanadze | 5 comments I've seen the movies over thousand times . I'm obsessed. I've read the first book since i can't get other parts in my country 🥲 i might read it online idk . Anyways loved the book

message 12: by kenzie☼⭐︎ (new)

kenzie☼⭐︎ | 8 comments edward and bella's relationship is kinda concerning (HES 117 AND SHES 17????) but he acts 17 so it makes it better. the baseball scene in the movie is a work of art, and midnight sun ate

message 13: by nana aisha (new)

nana aisha (aishamikail) about the read the books but i've watched me movies too many times and i still love it!

message 14: by aurelia (new)

aurelia | 2 comments I’m team jacob as Edward is kind of sort of definitely creepy. I get that he’s in love with Bella, but I just can’t-

message 15: by Sara (new)

Sara | 11 comments Twilight was my first reading experience with paranormal romance at the age of 19. Not to mention my first romance series. I loved it before the movies came out. Now I can’t get the actors out of my head, and I feel like the actors chosen for it are disappointing and nothing like how I originally pictured in my head.

message 16: by Julie (new)

Julie (julieasc) They really are love / hate. I’m firmly on the loathe side. The first was mostly cute even though I wanted to gouge my eyes out if I read “incredulously” one more time. The entire 4th book physically hurt my body.

adeela_books ❁ཻུ۪۪ (adeela_books) | 27 comments the books and movies are both good for the genre it is! as a tween or teen when i read and watched them i really enjoyed and liked it.

it gets unnecessary hate tbh.

twilight was the first vampire & werewolf movie for most of us that got us into this genre and it did well.

message 18: by M ☾ (new)

M ☾ (mias_libraryy) twilight = nostalgia

message 19: by anna (new)

anna near (annanear) | 42 comments the movies are completely different from the books. book bella is an it girl and book edward is such a golden retriever boyfriend. its not nobel-prize winning literature but theyre still a fun read

message 20: by Jenna (new)

Jenna | 8 comments I don’t know how to explain it but I love it and hate it. The books are well written but the characters are boring , same with the movie, but the pl

I found the books really good but the characters are boring , the pacing is really good and it only took me a month to read the whole series (lol)
It’s a good read for winter/autumn

sam : the bookish soul (samreadslots) | 3 comments These books got me into reading. I’ll always love them, no matter how cliche they are.

message 23: by Julia (new)

Julia Guidry | 16 comments the best way I can describe it is the books read like a bad da fiction and the movies were defiantly on a tight budget. however I did thoroughly enjoy the books the first time I read them. if you just ignore that it’s supposed to be a good book, they’re great. 🌸

message 24: by Magnolia (new)

Magnolia (maysmagnolia) | 12 comments The movies are absolute perfection I love them. New Moon is my comfort movie! I badly want to read the whole series too.

message 25: by brianna (new)
