The Procrastinators Book Club discussion

Fright Night starts October 1st and ends November 30th.

RULES
✧ Members will be broken out into up to 3-5 separate teams (or go solo) before the start date (October 1st). You will work together to complete a series of tasks together and complete as many of them as you wish.
✧ Books must be read and reviewed during October 1st through November 30th. Any books or audiobooks started before October 1st or finished after November 30th will not count.
✧ If you read an Audiobook version of a book convert the hours to pages using this site: https://alamantus.itch.io/time-to-page or use the print equivalent on Goodreads.
✧ Graphic/Manga novels are accepted but will only count for half of the listed page count
✧ You must post at least 3 status updates OR a review. It doesn't have to be super detailed but try to not just say "this was good" for the book to count.
✧ For prompts: if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, and it will not count.
✧ Minimum Lengths:
• Books: 150 pages
• Graphic Novels: 200 pages (halved=100 pages)
• Audiobooks: 150 pages (use GR print equivalent length)

POINT SYSTEM
+1 point for every book that has been read and reviewed that correlates with a prompt
+2 points for participating in a buddy read (must take place in the group)
+3 for one completed category
+4 points for reading/participating in a group read (must take place in the group)
+5 points for every 1,000 pages read
Note: Mods keep track of all points in a shared Google Sheets spread to keep everything as organized as possible.
Note 2: You must actively participate in a buddy or group read for the points to count. Lack of participation means no points!

1. Read a book with a mostly purple cover
2. Read a book where the main character has special powers
3. Read a book featuring golems or djinn
4. Read an book by a Latine and/or Black author
5. Read a book that was published posthumously

King Kong's Delivery Service
1. Read a book with a mostly orange cover
2. Read a book where the main character is a witch
3. Read a book featuring ghosts, poltergeists and/or a haunted house
4. Read a book by a West Asian or South Asian author
5. Read a dark academia book

10 Things I Hate About Dracula
1. Read a book with a mostly red cover
2. Read a book where the main character has an enemy who becomes their lover
3. Read a book featuring vampires/bloodsuckers
4. Read a book by a bisexual or asexual author
5. Read a book with blood in the title

Good Will Zombie Hunting
1. Read a book with a mostly green cover
2. Read a book where the main character is an orphan
3. Read a book featuring zombies
4. Read a book by an East Asian author
5. Read a horror book written by a person of color

Honey, I Shrunk the Sea Monster
1. Read a book with a mostly blue cover
2. Read a book where the main character's mom stays alive and active throughout the book

Hi! I can't wait to start this ^u^ I'm already trying to figure out my TBR~

Hey team, I added another sheet to the team spreadsheet where we can put the books we think of reading for the prompts. Just claim a column and fill it with books. And if you see something a teammate has on their list you want to read/would like for it to be a BR just add your name under the "Buddy Reads" so that they can see and you can potentially make BR plans.

I don't have time to add my books now, hopefully I'll be able to add them soon, but here's my Fright Night shelf IF you would like to BR something, although be warned I probably won't be able to BR much or at all in the first-ish half of the month.
