Play Book Tag discussion

This is a favorite of Sally, Book Concierge, and Holly, and now a favorite of mine.

I really loved this gem. Truth is, I haven't loved all of Allende's works. She is a talented beautiful writer, but I haven't always been engaged. But this one engaged me. I loved watching a century's worth of growth, for the central character as well as the world. It was reflective, spiritual, alive, and just beautifully done. There was something about the structure of the book, and this one live with its over-arching realizations, that simply moved me. I think I will be thinking about it for quite awhile.

I was moved by the book, also. So glad that you found it to be a gem!

I agree, I thought it was fine but not one of her best.
