Thank you Mods for all your hard work making another annual poll run so smoothly :)
Thank you all readers and voters for the comments and discussions :)
And Onwards to Planning :)

Thank you, Mods, for your hard work that makes ATY possible!

And I’m really glad three got in, thus avoiding another round of suggestions for only one prompt.
Thanks to the mods for putting so much time into getting a new list together!!

Thanks to all the mods (especially Emily) for keeping this organized and on track!

I seem to have come up with an overly serious set of books for 2023 so I’m off to add some levity.

I can’t wait to start preparing my list now.
Thanks to the members for your active participation, and all the fantastic ideas, including those that didn't happen to get voted in.

But thanks to the "A book that fits a suggestion that didn’t make the list this year" prompt, all of those that made the voting cut are technically in the running! This is such a great prompt, imo, for exactly that reason.
(I know a lot of people do rejects challenges, but this is awesome for those of us who don't.)

Big thank you to the moderators for the well performed voting process and thank you all for great discussions to follow and learn from.
Of the prompts voted in I have upvoted 24 of them, downvoted 6 of them and been neutral on the rest.
I wish GR let us put in gifs- I would add that one of everyone standing and applauding. Bravo y'all, especially the mods!
Now to start organizing books!
Now to start organizing books!

Like everyone else, I thank our moderators for the hard work of this whole process.

I usually wait to do any serious planning until the year's list is complete, so now the real fun can begin! I can't wait to discuss all the prompts and hear what books everyone will be suggesting for next year :)
Now back to chipping away at my 2022 challenge...

Thank you to the mods for all your hard work, and to everyone who worked hard to prepare interesting prompts for us.

I love this!
Of the 50 prompts voted in, I upvoted 25 (at least one in each poll, and all three from this one!), downvoted 7 (one of those being the multiweek, so actually only 5), and was neutral on the rest. This was probably my best year in terms of how few of my downvotes got in and how many of my upvotes made it.

I only had 2 downvotes make the list this year, so that’s pretty exciting!
I’m with Ellie that tonight is when the second stage of fun begins! Mapping out my spreadsheet and options for next year, despite knowing I won’t follow it!

There are only a handful of prompts for which I will need to purposefully seek out a book. There are positive and negative aspects to that, IMO, but overall it makes it easy.
This is the first time I have truly participated in the prompt suggestion/election process. It is time-consuming and yet compelling! I think it is amazing that so many truly unique prompts are suggested. This group is very creative!
These moderators are phenomenal people of patience and dedication, IMO! Congratulations to them for another year's challenge listing completed!

Of course there are people who know how many of the 50 prompts they up voted (or down voted). That is not me. I often vote when a poll opens and sometimes can no longer remember how I voted by the time the results come out let alone 17 polls into the process.
I also am not in the "can't wait to start planning" camp. It is frustrating for me to get excited about reading a book.. and then have to wait until January to read it. For now, I will concentrate on finishing the 2022 challenges and then reading randomly from my TBR list.

Echoing a big thanks to the mods for organizing the voting process. I love participating every year and all the work you put in is very much appreciated!
Now I'm itching to start planning but trying not to get sidetracked as I still have so much of this year's challenge still to finish...

I had no downvotes make the list this year, which I continue to be amazed by.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and the mods for moderating!

I have been with this group since it started and always impressed with how the list comes together - so many great ideas!
I ended up with 25 that I voted for and only 5 that were down votes so can't complain about how things turned out.

As for the prompts that made it, “returning home” made me think of Just Like Home. Any other suggestions for coming home to a creepy gothic/haunted house books?

Thank you to the mods and all of the people who created and nominated prompts over these last few months. I've already found so many good reads for next year thanks to all of you rock stars. :D

Ooh that book looks deliciously creepy. Too bad that prompt isn't in October, it would be a perfect Halloween read.
I really enjoyed The Drowning Kind, in a similar vein.

Mod Note: We will begin working on our Weekly Threads and 2023 Organizational things today! I will likely have the final list order posted later today, with planning folders opening as soon as the final list order is posted. Weekly threads will go up over the next few weeks, likely out of order, so just bear with us as we work through those... we want to make sure we provide lots of resources for y'all to work with.
Thank you all so much for participating in this process every year! I can't wait to see what 2023 brings us!
