To start the book? oh I thought we were starting at the begining of February :/ i'm like more then halfway done.. I started reading it and then got sucked in.. its really good, one of the best so far, at least to me.

I'm quite far in, chapter 22 or 23 I think. Will probably finish today

So far the plot seems to be quite on par with the other HoN books, but the writing style seems more mature. Topics also seem heavier (depression, alcohol abuse). I am enjoying it though

I'll start up again reading tonight hopefully finish it

Yeah but then I wonder why Nyx sent the vision in the first place. I think it's pretty clear it wasn't Kalona in Zoey's dream, but the journal itself didn't seem to contain anything bad. So unless they were going to do the spell after reading the journal, why send the vision and put the thought of zombies in Zoey's head in the first place?

Yeah but my point it, would they have thought of zombies if she hadn't sent that vision? And if she hadn't thought of zombies, would they still have come through? Because I doubt it

Well Zoey thought about zombies coming to eat Aprodite's mom while she was doing the ritual. And intention matters for rituals. So Zoey's intention became wanting to summon zombies. And because that was her intention, that happened.

And if that's true, if she had never thought about zombies, they wouldn't have been summoned. But the only reason she thought about zombies, was the vision in which Aphrodite saw zombies. Had that vision not been so recent, I doubt Zoey would have thought about zombies during the ritual.

So without the vision, I'm thinking maybe there wouldn't have been zombies at all. But that logic must be flawed somewhere, because why would Nyx send a vision that would actually cause harm rather than prevent it?

I feel like next books will focus on Kevin instead of Zoey. Because they set up this whole thing, made him the center of the Otherworld etc. So I feel like it would be boring to just have the next books be all about Zoey again

However that's a really dumb reason to go to the Otherworld while leaving all your friends behind. From what we heard, Other Heath is doing just fine in the Otherworld, let him be, don't rip him away from everything he's known just because you can't handle your grief

No I mean I get it if they want to show how teenagers sometimes like multiple people at once. But these aren't normal teenagers. They're literally High Priestesses with Oath Bound Warriors. That's not just some relationship. With the Zoey Heath Stark love triangle I understood, she's known him for so long. But Aphrodite has no reason to throw away Darius for some guy she's known less than a day
