JasonReads | 54 comments Another slim month, with only two books read. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Audiobook. Enjoyed this more than I expected to, since I'm not into westerns.
Wayfaring Stranger by James Lee Burke. Another audiobook. Actor Will Patton narrated this one and his voice definitely fit this story to a T. As for Burke, this man is an absolute wordsmith. I'd heard that he is a great writer, but good grief, the hype is real. Definitely reading his Robicheaux series in November.

Hopefully I can read more than two books next month. I'm not in a slump because I am reading, I just haven't been able to focus on just one book. I think my brain is trying to do the whole "mood reading" thing, lol.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16958 comments Jason, if the books you read are this enjoyable, then it is a good month no matter the count. I’ve had both books marked as to read for a while. Thanks for the reminder, and I can definitely attest to Will Patton being a great narrator. I love the James Lee Burke Robicheaux books.

Oh, I agree. I'm just used to reading at least six books a month. 😁
