Kinda like Blind Date With a Book, in that you'll be using a Google Form quiz (instead of an actual cootie catcher—which would be very difficult to pull off) to answer questions that will lead you to your prompts.
For those of you who don't know what a cootie catcher/fortune teller is, here you go: https://electricliterature.com/the-li...

And for fourth quarter, we'll do Catch Up Bingo, because that one is always fun.
So I really need ideas for a Second Quarter, April-June challenge (along with prompt ideas for our annual challenges)
Do you all have any ideas?

I will happily look at/borrow any prompt ideas you have :)

Yeah, I do like it! Sometimes I can't participate, but I love it~
2. Do you want to keep the Procrastinator Buzzreads?
Yeah, I liked that, though I couldn't finish it D:
3. What do games did you like in the quarterly challenges, and what suggestions do you have to make them better?
My favorite is Catchup Bingo, and I like them all, really, but I usually plan my yearly books on January and I couldn't fit any book for the Blind Date this time.
4. What kinds of prompts do you want to see in the challenges?
Both easy and harder prompts, but mostly the ones I can fill without a lot of searching about the book or author (like Jewish authors, or when it was published, etc)
5. If anyone has an idea for a quarterly challenge, would you like to be in charge of hosting it for a quarter?
I have two ideas that I did individually last year, but maybe they could work here too? I won't mind being in charge, though I'm so bad moderating, I like helping :)
The first one was to read at least three books each month: one for a challenge, one from my Fairyloot TBR (it can be changed, ofc!) and one that I wanted to read. Maybe we can do something like that? Maybe with genres, or differents kinds of authors or whatever.
The second one was a challenge based on Eurovision. Mine is a bit chaotic sinc it has song from 2006 onwards, but maybe we can do with the full list on the year's Eurovision songs, and each song had a prompt. I think it fits the second quarter challenge since Eurovision is on April/May, I think
And I listened to that song after finishing the challenge, but that's optional! Haha
I hope more people comment this thread, because last years there were a lot of good ideas! (And I don't want to be the only one participating here neither).
And I like the Cootie Catcher too! It was so fun doing that when I was little, but I've never knew how they were called.

Thank you for answering!
I like the Eurovision idea—I might be able to play around with that and come up with something that would work as a challenge.
Okay. I think I am set with challenge ideas, everyone—thank you Brianna and Bopeep!
Now I just need help with prompts lol

I'm working on thinking about our 2023 challenges, and like last year, I need your help!
This is how our games are usually structured:
One annual challenge (Tackle That TBR) and four quarterly challenges.
In 2022, I added a second annual challenge (the Procrastinator Buzzreads).
I have a couple (okay, a few) of questions for you all as I work on planning the upcoming year's challenges:
1. Do you like the structure of the current challenges? (1-2 annuals, 4 quarterlies)?
2. Do you want to keep the Procrastinator Buzzreads?
3. What do games did you like in the quarterly challenges, and what suggestions do you have to make them better? The only rule I'm concerned with sticking with is reading 4-6 books to count as a "win."
In 2022, we had Blind Date With a Book (Jan-Mar), Build a Bouquet (Apr-Jun), Read Your Word (Jul-Sep) and Catch Up Bingo (Oct-Dec).
4. What kinds of prompts do you want to see in the challenges?
5. If anyone has an idea for a quarterly challenge, would you like to be in charge of hosting it for a quarter? This means planning it, creating the thread 1-2 weeks before the challenge start date, and tracking participants throughout the three months of the run (I am lazy and do about 1 update a month, which is the minimum imo).
Thank you all for your suggestions!
Please note that this is not about our Team Games, but the annual and quarterly challenges listed here
