How do I find so many duplicates?

4 of the 5 books listed under the 2nd Alix should be combined with those listed under the 1st Alix. The only one of the 2nd listings that I do not think is Austenesque Alix is Will You Be My Fantasy..?

Austenesque Alix also publishes as Nicole Clarkston. She may be changing her listings to show under both names, as some do show that way.

Kevin Lawrence has duplicate listings for two Austenesque books.

Per GR: For audio books, the number of hours rounded up should be used in lieu of number of pages <-- in page number field.

and it used to be common for below (example) to be added below book description also for specific listening length:

Listening Length: 0 hours and 0 minutes

The Alix James books are showing under the correct Alix, but are still showing also under the other Alix. I know it sometimes takes a while for all the changes to be complete, so maybe that will change soon. Or not.

I used to add a note in the book description with the audio book running time but I don't see why they have not added the feature in the book data, it has been years and audio books are so popular now. It makes a persons page count lower with just adding a "10" for a book that is 10 hours long. It is just another reason why I will probably be done with GR next year. I have gotten most of my book data from here on Storygraph, just need to make some small adjustments. I also have a spreadsheet to track which books I own, which are special or signed editions. I am just so disappointed in GR and their lack of making any real improvements to the platform. It is so clunky and outdated. I will keep my account so I can read reviews but I doubt I will do much more than that next year.

I got the Nefarious editions combined. I have no idea why the one book keeps showing under the wrong Alix, it should not be. I went in and deleted that name as an author then waited 30 minutes and went back in and added it back and it was still showing up. Hopefully it will "update" and stop showing on the wrong Alix profile.

Yes, I have run into the problem with the page count because of that. I am slowly (very slowly, lol) getting everything added to spreadsheet.

It can be time consuming but I like being able to add multiple copies of the same book, a feature no longer GR. I have about 300 books completely added with the details I want and I give myself until the end of the year to finish. :-)

Checking out Storygraph, is it easy to use?

You'd think Amazon would invest in GR (the app is atrocious) as it has the potential to be a huge marketing tool.

is there some sort of goodreads glitch that changes the dates? I've noticed that my GR bookshelf has changed the date-added-on- the bookshelf for some books, they look like I've added them on the shelf this week but I reviewed them months ago, last year.

Hi Sam! I think it is fairly easy to use, I found a cheat sheet awhile back that someone had created. If I can find it again I will post it.

I had exported my GR data into Excel and then cleaned it up a bit (titles, authors, dates, rating, etc.) were all good before importing it. This made sure that the data went in cleaner. It was great because it also created tags for all my different shelves. So if had a book on my Netgalley or JAFF shelf when the data was imported it made a tag with that name so I can search my books with that tag.

I think the process can take a lot of time, if you want to have accurate charts, so this is why I set a goal to get all my data on Storygraph done over the course of this year to make it less daunting. I am actually reviewing their rules right now so that I can be a Librarian on that site as well. :-)

I am not sure, it has been super glitchy lately. Like the book I tried to fix yesterday. The name was updated to the correct format and was showing under the right author and clicking the author's name in the title section took you to the correct authors page but it also still shows under the wrong author. The platform is just not doing well.

We have an unpublished title that is incorrect. It is actually A Christmas Miracle. Could you please correct it and add the link? Thanks, Danielle for all you do for us.
