I came to writing after a long career in finance before recognising my niche as a children’s author and illustrator.

Whilst volunteering at an animal rescue centre, I met an injured dog in need of care. As he recovered, I found renewed admiration for the dog and the team that rehabilitated him.

At that moment, my series, The Magic of Misty Nook, was born.
Today, I bring these wonderful animal characters to life by telling how scared and lonely souls find love and kindness at Misty Nook. my books tell the stories of pets in need as they heal and search for safe forever homes.
