Wordle Challenge

How to play:
Just like the game, each team will have 6 tries to guess the mystery word. Whenever you guess a word, you will be spelling it out using a book per letter. The book must fit the following criteria:
1. Title starts with that letter (you can use or skip articles)
2. Series title starts with that letter (you can use or skip articles)
3. Author's first name starts with that letter
4. Author's last name starts with that letter
*When using the title or series title, you can only use the FIRST word of that title. Or the second word if you are skipping articles.
**You can also use any book edition of the title/series title.
Using the previous example, if you guessed 'FIRED' you would do the following -
F - Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing
I - Iron Widow
R - The Lightning Thief
E - All We Ever Wanted
D - Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
Once all letters have been read for, the word has been submitted, and scores posted - you can't move the books around. You will also only know if any letters are correct or incorrect on your team's spreadsheet.
Question: So after the first guess and we find out if any of the letters are in the word, do we need to read new books for the letters that ARE?
example: if we guess the word RADIO, and the "answer" has A and R in it, do we need to read new books for the A and R or just the new letters for the new word we are guessing?
Answer: That is a great question! Totally forgot to put that on the sign up so will add it here and then there after scores.
Using your example, your team guesses RADIO.
If the letters R and A were right and show up green (which means they are in the correct position within the word) then you do NOT have to reread for those letters in the next guess. Or any future guesses until the word is either figured out or you have used all 6 guesses.
If the letters R and A were right but show up yellow (which means they are correct but not in the right position within the word) then you WILL have to reread for those letters until you find the right position for them.
As for the rest of the letters within the word RADIO, if they are grey (which means they are not in the word at all) then you don't have to use those for future guesses on the wordle you are currently on.
Does that help?
If you figure out the word before you have guessed 6 times, you will get the following bonus points:
1st try - 6 pts
2nd try - 5 pts
3rd try - 4 pts
4th try - 3 pts
5th try - 2 pts
6th try - 1 pt
If you don't guess the correct word on the last try, you will lose 10 bonus points.

This challenge will only take place during the month of January. That means, books will be accepted from January 1st to January 31st. Winners will be announced on February 1st.
If you start a book before January, you will only be able to count the pages that you read in January for this challenge. If the page amount is over 100 pages, you can still count it towards a category.
When signing up, please mention the number of books you plan on reading for the month of January. This number will be easier for me to make teams match up a bit more evenly.
For example,
Alaina - 50 books
Felicia - 10 books
Andy - 15 books
Aly - 50 books
Jennifer - 25 books
**You will not be penalized if you go over or under your number.**
The general challenge rules can be found here.

Wordle is a daily word game that invites you to try and guess a five-letter word in just six tries. It's very simple to play along once you get the idea, and the fact that it's a one-a-day thing means your enthusiasm for it will likely be drawn out over a matter of weeks or months, rather than a downloadable game where you can monster over a hundred levels in an afternoon.
Or if you are like me, you will get very competitive against family and friends trying to figure out the word faster and quicker than them.
Back to the game.
At first, you'll be presented with an empty grid, into which you type a word then hit enter. The letters will change to indicate whether any of the letters are in the right place (green), in the word but the wrong position (yellow), or not in the world at all (gray).
So, if your first guess is 'FIRED' and the R turns green, the E turns yellow, and the rest of the letters turn gray, you can deduce that the final word has a R in the center position, has an E in it somewhere, but does not use F, I, or D. From here you can refine your guess, which you'll type into the next row.
