Me too! I'm glad to hear that there are more "Unforgotten" being made, and also "Line of Duty" These series are so good that I am choosing to watch them in favour of newer crime dramas!

Nope! While still good & very interesting, it was very dark. No funny anime character at all! It explained everything in depth. That's why the book is always better. They just went a totally different way with the movie. Action packed AND funny. The book is more about just trying not to die and is also deeply philosophical.

As of this post, the books claimed but not finished are-
Lauri- The Hotel Nantucket, One Last Stop, Rogue Protocol (mini)
Teddie- Nine Princes in Amber, Dead Eye
Eni- Three Slices
Jenny- Liberation Day
Snowtulip- Preacher, Prophet, Beast, Criminal Intentions (mini).

If any of you can't finish, we likely have something in the overflow to cover, but the sooner we know, the better, especially if it is in the mini-challenge as well.

Jenny | 2346 comments And we are done with Round 1!!!!!

Three hours from now and you can start finishing up your round 2 books.

Pick some good ones!

Angie, my direction for you is to read some better books this round. When checking Uno shelves for the spreadsheet, I noticed that the vast majority of your books were three star reads/ You need a really good one to start off the round. I have spoken.

Angie ☯ | 990 comments Lol! I will try, Jenny!!

message 288: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 990 comments Great job, everyone!! This team rocks!!

message 289: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments Have any of you read Time's Convert (All Souls, #4) by Deborah Harkness ?
Audible is having a two for one, and I am thinking of getting it. I loved the first three books, but I am aware that the continuation of a trilogy can get a bit lost. And I am really hoping for a book about Gallowglass, and I don't think this is it.

message 290: by Teddie (new)

Teddie (teddieg) | 1012 comments I haven't gotten that far in the series. Looks like one of the captains over on Team Platypus has: Laura

message 291: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments A five star rating from Laura! That's a good sign.

message 292: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments Happy Friday everyone!!!!

I am checking that notifications are working, and seeing if anyone has read a brilliant book yet in March...

message 293: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 935 comments I’m almost done with a few!
I am loving all my books thus far…
Especially Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead & Death in the Stacks. Another funny surprise is The Unhoneymooners, an aggressively yellow book that I happened to find available on my library website. It’s hilarious & set mostly in Hawaii!

Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead (Finlay Donovan, #2) by Elle Cosimano Death in the Stacks (Library Lover's Mystery, #8) by Jenn McKinlay The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

message 296: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments March does seem to be coming in like a Lion for a bunch of people.

Fingers crossed for Out like a Lamb!!!!

I'm hoping for a fun March mini-challenge to get us all in the mood for great books.

message 297: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 2346 comments How is everyone doing?

I am reading Self-Portrait with Nothing by Aimee Pokwatka right now, and it is making me want to stop everything and just read it. But, it is my read at lunchtime at work book, so I am savoring it.

message 298: by Haylie (new)

Haylie Garner (hayliegarner) | 23 comments Hi everyone! Sorry I lost power on friday and just now have it back again, its been a stressful start to March. I hope to still be able to read at least 3 books this month if not more.

message 299: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 990 comments Happy Wednesday!

Hope March treats everyone well! So far, as Jenny said, it seems to be coming in like a lion for a lot of us!

I'm behind in just about everything, but I hope to get caught up this weekend! Hope that doesn't come back to bite me! Lol!!

message 300: by Teddie (new)

Teddie (teddieg) | 1012 comments Hi Team! I'm digging all the books I'm reading these days, and am holding myself back from plowing through the Magical Midlife series as its totally what I'm craving right now wrt comfort reading: midlife woman gets chosen by mega-magical supercool old house to be its new caretaker/heir... my dream come true - lol.
