Challenges from Exploding Steamboats discussion

An ARC is an advance reading copy. These are the editions publishers send out in advance of publication to readers in the industry in hopes of getting timely buzz to boost sales. Paper copies still exist, but digital ARCs abound at places like NetGalley.

My oldest ARC is one I picked up at a mystery con somewhere around the turn of the millennium. It contains two novels, the earlier of which is Right as Rain.
