Prologue - Chapter 7

This is cute so far but I'm not completely wowed yet. Rose and Damian have good chemistry but he's kind of a jerk for no reason which isn't exactly endearing him to me. The puppies were cute and I hope they put them with the mom dog that lost her puppies.

Chapters 8-14

I'm so glad the puppies and momma dog are doing so well together. Probably not a great sign that that's been my favorite part of the book so far. I like Rose's interest in bounty hunting but I'm not a fan of how Damian is trying to stop her. That's not his place.

That was a close one for Rose with that demon. I can already see how this is going to play out though. She's not going to give up hunting and Damian is going to demand she does which will lead to them splitting.

Huh, surprised the whole hunting thing didn't cause a blowup. I thought it would. The grand gesture thing breaking the curse was sweet if a bit predictable. Overall I did like this one, it just wasn't amazing.

Prologue - Chapter 6: (view spoiler)[I am not really liking seeing Damian brood for no reason at all, I think he could be nicer to Rose especially since she is working for him now. It seems a bit arrogant of him to not even listen to her idea of helping the animals despite him not having anything to work with at present. I hope we see a shift in his demeanour towards others in the future. So far, I am not particularly amazed by the chemistry between the two as well (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7-10: (view spoiler)[Rose is a fireball and I love her but still not super impressed with Damian honestly, he is way too much of a scrooge for my liking and the way he acts all high and mighty gets on my nerves. The attraction between the two is undeniable though and it's clear Rose isn't afraid to act on it too but I don't think Damian is the kind of person to be vocal about his feelings to it might all go downhill soon imo (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11-16: (view spoiler)[Rose jumping from one job to the other isn't nearly as fun as one might think and Damian undermining her at every chance he gets ain't cute too. Their no strings attached arrangement is bound to come bite them in the ass in the future. The bounty hunting is surely dangerous but i liked that Rose isn't the one to back out from anything. I do think that she'd be the one unhexing Damian eventually (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17-22: (view spoiler)[I knew something bad would happen but Rose coming so close to dying wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I liked how worried Damian was for her and he has definitely developed stronger feelings for Rose, only hasn't acknowleded the same yet. Maybe doing so would be what would break him free of the hex. I did not really enjoy the steamy scenes between the two though (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[The ex knowing all along how to break the curse yet letting Damian live with it for 18 whole years annoyed the shit out of me. I was not impressed with the grand gesture too and the chemistry between him and Rose was lukewarm at best. There was no pining for one another and I rarely enjoy romances like that. This was an ok enough book but certainly not something I'd want to read again (hide spoiler)]
