my book is a historical fiction novel telling the story of bonnie and clyde, as accurately as possible, and it's about a third of the way finished. i'd really like someone to give it a read through and tell me if they think the voice, vibes, etc. are good so that i know I'm on the right track. I've rewritten the book a few times because i didn't like the style, so i'd really like to see what someone else thinks because my mind is clouded from working on this book for years haha.


tw: murder, violence, stories of rape, past trauma, they're religious so there's religious undertones sorta so like if you have REAL BAD religious trauma and can't handle like scripture references or something...yeah.

omg thank you so much! I'll reach out to you when i have a draft. might be around may/june haha. writing is hard :/

And sometimes it's just our self conscious that likes to make us think our style is poor- so don't be too hard on yourself!

my book is a fantasy thriller about xodie turjin, who gains invulnerability after being hit by a meteor. to her, its anything but a superhero story and more of learning how to survive. she still feels pain, it just doesnt show up on her physically, and shes on the run from the world government, who want to use her as a weapon of destruction. the worldbuilding is kind of like six of crows, but with more psychological elements in the writing. i finished the first chapter alone and realized that the writing style and elements are inconsistent so i just need help with that

tw: graphic descriptions of the following: murder, violence, corpses, torture, poisoning, and traumatic backstories

How long is the first chapter, if you sent me a Google Docs, I may be able to check it out for you but am quite busy this week- so I may not be able to work against a deadline
