Borderline is an urban fantasy book about a young woman, Millie, who lives with borderline personality disorder who has lost both her legs in a suicide attempt is recruited by a secret organization that facilitates relationships between humans and the faerie world. On her trial mission she tries to find a missing faerie in Hollywood. This was a fun fantasy mystery novel. Millie is a flawed main character who isn't always easy to like, but she was interesting and unique. I liked how they integrated both the artificial legs and her coping skills for dealing with her mental illness into the plot and her character. The mystery was OK, but I think this first book in the series was more about introducing the characters and the world. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys urban fantasy and is looking for a main character living with a disability, but not letting that stop them from being a kick-butt heroine.
