yeas you should totally read the series!!! tbh i haven’t read it yet either, and i’m thinking i should; idk why but i just watched the movies.

I think you already got convinced to read it, but I just have to say that I did love them a lot and the whole world of the books was amazing, definitely would recommend to give them a try

I also didn't read them when I was younger and read them now at 21. They're still enjoyable and apparantly the heroes of olympus seires (which comes after) is even better, so I would definitely recommend. Obviously they are quite young in the first few books, and you can tell, but if you're up for watching them grow older as the series continues that's not an issue. The first books are also a very quick read, so you don't even need to be that patient.
maybe you could even read the heroes of olympus series straight away if you don't want to follow Percy's 12-16 journey, but I haven't read them yet so I'm not sure.
