You think I saw your sign-up late last night? it took me forever to reconcile "Pingüino" having a diéresis. I was like but "pinguino" sounds correct too :D
Anyways, welcome to the challenge!

Welcome to Carmen and Chrissie!
I'll update the roster later in the day, when I'm back home.

Anyways, welcome to the challenge..."
If not for the diéresis the u would be silent 🤐

Anyways, welcome to the chal..."
I know. But in my head that didn't sound that wrong. I mean, obviously it does because I know better. But I think a "pinguino" would be a cute animal too :D lol

You're right, they are Basque penguins 🤣🤣
(in Euskara is written without dieresis: pinguino, I don't know if the "u" is silet or not, I just found it in Wikipedia 😁)
P.S.: or Italian, LOL

But everything should be up-to-date as of now :)
Anyways! How is everyone doing ? Would love to hear if y'all had a good Easter? Read anything worthwhile or did you do something else interesting?
Let us know! We're almost at the halfway mark for the challenge, so I hope everyone is still having fun and reading some fantastic books.

F: Auntie Luce’s Talking Paintings by Francie LaToir, illustrations by Ken Daley. Love this book! And I would have loved it as a kid - the colors are so vibrant and the pictures contain lovely detail! The story is so sweet, and I love the descriptions of colors and origins in the book! And I appreciate the author’s note and glossary with pronunciations at the end. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

SPELL IT OUT TWISTER
Duration: April 1 - April 30, 2023
Are we ready to spell it out, but with a twist at the end?
For this challenge, choose an animal or organism and spell-it-out. The twist? Your last book needs to spell it out, but also either takes place in the animal's preferred habitat or has something on the cover that reflects the preferred habitat.
For example:
If you choose 'tiger', you can spell it out with titles/authors names or titles in the book. The last book in the challenge would either show the tiger's habitat on the cover (e.g. show savannahs, grasslands, rainforests, etc) or the setting takes place in the habitat.
Example
T - Take My Hand
I - The Inheritance Games
G - Ghost Forest
E - Earth Abides
R - Range Management: Principles and Practices
The last book has grasslands on the cover.
Thank you Kristina for creating this challenge. We are looking for a leader for this challenge. Please send a message if you are interested
