Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ This may be tricky as a lot of people (including me!) can't reply to a post if there is only a single post. Yet another GR bug.

But I would like to call for nominations for July's read. It is mystery month which means GH's 'contemporary' mysteries. The only one that isn't eligible is Why Shoot a Butler? as we read this one in 2022.

I'm only going to call for three nominations as I know a lot of this group's members don't care for GH's contemporaries. & even if there is a tie the second book won't be August's read for the same reason. If we get a tie - well, we will cross that bridge when we come to it! Nominations close Tuesday (my time) or when we get 3 - whichever comes first.

My nomination is The Unfinished Clue Barb nominated this one last time - & I have only read this one once.

Let the nominations begin! (if you can't post to this thread try sending me a message)

Looks like the bug has been fixed. I hope everyone can reply to this post.

QNPoohBear | 1639 comments The Unfinished Clue is the funniest. Lola is a scene stealer and makes reading the book worthwhile.

She’s “good value”, as they say in the book!🤣

Vote away Teresa!

Teresa | 2187 comments Thanks Carol. I haven't read many of the mysteries. I took a stab in the dark and voted and I seem to have hit on the most popular one.

👍Although I would have been happy leading any of these three!

Not to mention the vapid little gold digger, whose name I can't be bothered to remember!

OTOH, Behold, Here's Poison has Randall, who is "like an amiable snake... smooth, and fanged".
