lowkey feel like im wasting my teenage years, i just went to target alone and walked around for two hours, then ate alone at panera bread on a friday night because i have no social life. even i wasnt at target alone, i would be at home reading in bed while my family watched some mystery tv show. literally why do i try. all of my friends that i wont see from track are probably watching the sunset and im stuck eating at a four person table alone.
oh also, stick season by noah kahan, labyrinth, and the good i'll do by zach bryan (all songs that remind me of someone im friends with that i wont see for a year unless its randomly around town) came on my shuffle in my car and i wanted to cry. so great. well this was depressing.

fortunately for me my teenage years haven't been so bad friend-wise, but i think the thing i'm struggling with is academic validation. my parents push me to get good grades, and i understand why they do. but it just hurts sometimes because i am trying, regardless of what they say, and it feels like i'm not good enough. especially when compared to my sister who is a straight-a student studying psychology at one of the most difficult to get into universities in my country. so.. yea.

I HATE when my parents do that like if Im trying my hardest in a class and it’s not A it will be okay the world will not end

@gabby same, they want me to do really well, but they’re also putting a lot of pressure on me financially, so the idea is that I get into a good college, but either get a huge scholarship or get into one that won’t cost as much. It’s just making me rly stressed bc I’m also having to pay for a lot more stuff now that I’m working.
